  1. Well the good news is that I might actually win this week (but by no means a lock, I could have an epic rant here tomorrow), because I have to gripe, I will point out that I am projected after Monday's games to have the 2nd highest point total in the league while my opponent will have the 3rd highest. I cannot seem to escape playing the team having a hot week.
  2. He's not the same guy he was in Chicago. The curveball and variations of it are some of the best pitches in baseball. He allowed .33 HR/9 which is the best in baseball for anyone with 100 IP. He will still walk guy which is how you can get to him but since he's made the curveball his primary pitch he's been damn good. That's crazy because I remember his curve being pretty damn good in Chicago but it was probably his #2 pitch and I believe he had trouble locating it at times. But there was a time when we were really excited about Rich Hill as maybe a solid #2 of the future for the Cubs. This game sustained me for the entire 06 offseason
  3. There is no way to verify this, but this redditor claims he sat next to Sean Marshall at Game 2 Kind of funny to think he might have been in the stands as the guy he was traded for got the win and hit a HR.

  5. Exactly so it's probably best to stick with what's worked so well: supporting elite pitching with elite defense Plus there's some quirks and funky angles at the park. Not as much in left but I trust Heyward much more than anyone else to navigate that right/right centerfield
  6. I think if there's a game 4 we could see Soler in the lineup against a less tough lefty. But with the way Javy is playing right now you cant take him out especially against a lefty. So do you take Addy out? Maybe but not likely even though he's struggling at the plate. Heyward against a lefty maybe.
  7. That would still give him 2 NLCS starts including game 7. But I get wanting to delay that second Kershaw start until as late as possible because there's a chance if he pitches 1 and 5, he can come in relief in game 7 if necessary. Plus you'd hope to finish them off before he can get a second start Look at this guy talking like it goes to game 7. I like to consider what happens in all scenarios like what if Jason Hammel starts the first 6 games of the series?
  8. That's pretty much what I'm rooting for. I'd probably rather play the Nats but I'll be happy as long as it goes 5. That would knock out Kershaw/Scherzer until Game 3. That would still give him 2 NLCS starts including game 7. But I get wanting to delay that second Kershaw start until as late as possible because there's a chance if he pitches 1 and 5, he can come in relief in game 7 if necessary. Plus you'd hope to finish them off before he can get a second start
  9. Terrible throws on that last set of downs. Wtf. 1-4
  10. Don't run out of bounds
  11. Yeah seriously. there is way too much time left if they score quickly
  12. Horrible drive killing penalties, bad special teams decisions, turnovers at the absolutely wrong time. John Fox football
  13. Well that's game
  14. Howard is good. Like not just Bears good, legit good. Only thing he's missing is top end speed(I think)
  15. Red zone again. How do we blow this one?
  16. So glad we hired John Fox so we could play disciplined with limited dumb mistakes
  17. Good drive so far
  18. Yeah sucks Colorado lost today. Really need them to keep doing well as well as Wisconsin obviously. That said Michigan probably wasn't going to go to the playoff without beating OSU regardless of their non-conference schedule as the powers that be don't seem to favor teams that can't make their conference title game.
  19. There has been one walk by either team in this series. By Javy Baez.
  20. If you would have told me that in games 1 and 2, Lester would have thrown 86 pitches and Hendricks 52, I would have guessed we were in big trouble.
  21. Christopher Columbus coming through big time. I have the day off. NBD. Does that give you Tuesday off or something?
  22. Is there a way to look up Chapmans career closing out games with a 3 run lead?
  23. Haha you're throwing beanballs? You got him out last time you idiots. If anything you want to encourage him to keep doing what he's doing
