    Well here we go....i finished 3rd in my league in points (5 points short of 2nd in league) in one league where 8/12 teams make the playoffs and finished 9th. In my other league I finished 1st in the league in points, lost 6 in a row to finish 6-8 and out of the playoffs. This is the worst freaking season ever. Here is the standings for the 1st league. Look at all the teams around me with regards to points scored. No one close to me. I started out 0-4 with several inexplicable losses, then won 5 of 6, then lost 3 in a row. The worst part is that I traded my 1st round pick next year for Melvin Gordon (6th round keeper) when I was 5-5, gearing up for a playoff run (I was virtually 2 games up on a playoff spot at that point because of my tiebreaking lead in points) and then lost 3 straight to not even make the playoffs. http://i.imgur.com/nUjzCof.png

    Agreed. What if someone buys season tickets solely to guarantee themselves playoff tickets? What are they supposed to do, eat a bunch of tickets for games they can't go to for the privilege of going to all playoff games?

    yeah, I just looked at their roster, I can't think of one either. http://m.cardinals.mlb.com/roster/ Oh well, Dex has his money, long-term deal, and we'll still love him forever. Yes and don't tell me I think that just because they were Cardinals. Edmonds, Miles and Lackey are/were all twerps on the Cubs too (I don't care what you say). Heyward is cool, but according to Cardinals fans he basically rejected their culture and way of life by leaving for the Cubs, so that's probably why. Also great job by the board, I can only imagine the number of Cardinal fans that visited here looking to see us ripping Dex, calling him a 'trader', etc a la Heyward last year and left disappointed.

    He'll be worth it or come damn near close and probably have an opt out around age 31 season He was worth almost twice as much in 2015, haha. About 70% as much in a down year in 2016. It will be interesting to see if or how the value of a win changes with the new CBA and its unofficial salary cap

    I feel like a Sale deal has to include Turner. Yeah I just read some blurb on twitter that says they can do it without him. Im not sure how that's possible.

    In the short term however, it appears they can pull the trigger on Sale and McCutchen and sign Chapman or Jansen and somehow not lose Trea Turner. I actually welcome this if they manage to pull it off. Would be fun to have everyone focus on another team in the league, and then watch the Cubs earn back all the love.
