GW RBI went to Zobrist, even though Cleveland scored a run in the bottom of the 10th. In hockey, what you said would be true for the GW goal. You could argue that Cleveland's 7th run doesn't score if Montero doesn't drive that run home since the run scored via a walk, taking second due to catcher's interference and single to CF. If it's 7-6, its possible that Guyer, who was 3 for 5 in SB attempts that season, doesn't try to take 2nd. On the other hand, with 2 outs and Montero behind the plate, they may have attempted to steal the base anyways.

Damn...certainly didn't expect this strong of a reaction but I understand it. We lose some elite framing but crappy defense and while his overall numbers look ok i think his OPS since May 1st is in the low .600's. #theyaregood

I think they probably forgave him for being horsefeathers on the radio complaining about PT but this was throwing a specific teammate under the bus and that's not ok. Yeah I mean he's partially right as discussed in the game thread last night but that's a really shitty move to directly call out a teammate to deflect blame from yourself. Looks especially bad when you are 0-31 at throwing out runners this year regardless of pitcher and you have the 2nd slowest recorded pop time of any catcher in the majors.

I saw a list on the Ringer (yes I actually go there occasionally) that had the line 9th i think. It's kind of funny after we had those Lovie teams that were ultimately decent but had terrible offensive lines that we have a garbage team with a good line. I used to think having strong offensive and defensive lines were the most important thing for a successful football team besides QB, but damn 4 of those 5 teams are in the range of mediocre to horrible overall.

Could the thumb injury have anything to do with it? Fwiw the 4th start was pretty dominant though I have no idea if his velo dropped during the start. His velo did hold up throughout that game. Not sure if the thumb injury has something to do with it. Maybe. But this has been going on all year with him. As has the thumb injury right? My guess is if hendricks was healthy jake would sit for a couple of weeks and let it heal but with butler and montgomeey already in the rotation and Lackey a piece of horsefeathers he is trying to grind it out or something.

Seriously I think I took for granted how good our defense was last year. I'm not saying a play like that didn't happen last year, it just didn't seem to happen very often at all. Defense was just one of many things I didn't worry about failing us last year. Tonight our defense has somewhat cost us 2 runs against a dominant Max Scherzer
