  1. Brewers up big too. Might drop another game in standings if we can't get it going
  2. We came really close to scoring. I feel like we've already won no matter whatever happens from here on out
  3. The Cubs hope to salvage the series by scoring a run or at least reach 3rd base maybe. Lester is coming off one of the best starts in his career and Kershaw is bravely pitching through a stiff neck suffered in last years NLCS http://sportsmockery.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Rizzo-home-run-NLCS-Cubs-e1477187631242.jpg The standings pages tells me that the Cubs are just 0.5 games out of 1st place so umm let's get back there.
  4. The only thing I'll say about Mallee and I have no idea if it's even remotely something you can blame him for but it does seem like our hitters tend to be very streaky, like if something goes wrong it takes awhile to fix it. That's probably more a symptom of young hitters though and you can't argue with the overall numbers though as well as the hit rate on top prospect hitters.
  5. Step it up, man; the answer is obvious: [glow=red]FIRE MADDON.[/glow] It goes deeper than that. Theo refused to listen to Bill Walsh's advice and overstayed his welcome. He needs to find another sad sack franchise to tank with for several years.
  6. And Arrieta. And Willson. Guessing Jake is out of options so as a bonus he will become a FA early and we can replace him with Montgomery in the rotation. Anyone else we can shove down there?
  7. Yes, let's send down Addy and Almora too!
  8. The Cubs have half as many hits as the dodgers have runs this series. Yay?
  9. It is 1-0 in the 4th inning of the 2nd game of the series He's already punting the Kershaw game tomorrow because we always get dominated by Kershaw
  10. Alright now that we got Arrieta out of the way, time to take the series starting with...oh horsefeathers I forgot about dickface mchorseteeth
  11. Fine that we lost but geez 2 hit shutout?
  12. Hate to be that guy but Happ has struck out in 6 of his last 8 AB. Time to start thinking about counter adjustments
  13. Dear god what have you done...you realize many on this forum would rather listen to the entire shitty ass RHCP discography than listen to a minute of Scully?
  14. Going back to sports talk radio, I noticed that Matt Abbatacola abruptly quit the Score the other day and it doesn't sound like he has a job lined up elsewhere. Guys was always kind of a douche but weird to see so many long time Score guys leaving over the last few months, joining Boers, Rongey, Rodewald and I feel like I'm missing another one.
  15. Rock and a hard place for Hawks fans on this SCF. If Nashville wins, that's a division rival winning and gives their fans some bragging rights. If Pittsburgh wins, they probably overtake the Blackhawks as 'team of the era" (if they havent already).
  16. What's one good way to destroy any of the hype for Cavs-Warriors part 3 after a less than enjoyable playoffs thus far? Make us wait an entire week before game 1! I hate how inflexible the NBA is with their playoff scheduling.
  17. 9/10 K/BB rate is pretty damn questionable in terms of long term success. Also, I didn't watch the game yesterday but from following the game thread and twitter it sounds like he had a lot of BABIP luck in the game. I mean he's a 5th starter so the results he has gotten are more than fine in his role, but I'm guessing that he is getting a bit fortunate right now.
  18. That was so awesome. I still can't believe we destroyed the best pitcher on the planet in a pennant clinching game.
  19. Playing songs written by the Beatles doesn't seem like a stretch at all. Valid point
