  1. people seriously need to stop thinking that is a thing that will ever happen again Sorry I didn't think I needed to announce the sarcasm in the post
  2. 24-20 Well, that's even more depressing. All we need is God Mode Jake and we are solid
  3. Looks like we were 24-20 after losing on Memorial Day 2015. Through 50 games we were 27-23
  4. Cubs are 1-10 with RISP today, making them 1-24 on the road trip. The Cubs have had a baserunner on every inning and have had a RISP in 5 out of the 7 innings
  5. And no Better Call Saul tonight either. Worst Memorial Day ever
  6. That Heyward GIDP was hit 105 MPH and had a 51% hit probability
  7. So wait the Padres have issued 10 walks and only struck out 3 Cubs and we only have 2 runs? Hahah
  8. Last 28.2 non-Kershaw innings: 8 H, 1 XBH (leadoff triple that was stranded)
  9. Not that it matters at all but if we lose this we will have played 1 game better than the White Sox over the first 50 games What would the power ranking implications of that be
  10. Not that it matters at all but if we lose this we will have played 1 game better than the White Sox over the first 50 games Your White Sox obsession is so weird. Strange that's the first time I think I've brought them up this season. Could be wrong but if I am it's only because the white Sox are not much of a thought in my mind except when I'm scrolling twitter and see things like the above mentioned I think you're confusing me with someone else but I have 60k+ posts so I'm sure at one point I had a group of posts about them that I've forgotten because having little kids makes my long term memory mush
  11. Not that it matters at all but if we lose this we will have played 1 game better than the White Sox over the first 50 games
  12. Last year our strand rate was historically great. I'm not smart enough to figure out what it is this year. Help?
  13. Hahaha. Last year we always got out of those situations. This year they always seem to inflict maximum damage. Really makes you really realize how awesome we were last year
  14. Today's half assed game thread is brought to you by the letters B-A-R-I-S and P because the Cubs average with runners in scoring position is dreadful, dead last in the MLB and 100 points behind the first place team Colorado. The Cubs went 0-14 w RISP this weekend in LA, so they are maybe due against a garbage Padres team? Guys the Game Thread Forum is now a free for all. Just respect the 1 sacred rule: Winners Stay (If anyone else has a better idea to bring some stability back in the rotation please suggest)
  15. Yeah I was going to make a joke about how shortsighted the Cardinals were being sending him down with a series against the Cubs coming up this week but I decided him getting sent to high a was joke enough
  16. [tweet] [/tweet] Palm Beach is the Cardinals High A affiliate...lmao
  17. I just keep thinking about how much more frustrating this season would be if we didn't win it last year. I'm not saying I don't want more and I'm not upset the team is playing so mediocre with the same players that won a title 7 months ago, but a lot of the edge is taken off.
  18. Every run that's scored has been on HR, Wild pitch, sac fly or error
  19. Also depressing: we are one Hendricks start from the Butler/Arrieta/Lackey portion of the rotation turning over.
  20. A 3 game series against the Dodgers where literally the only pitcher we produce any offense at all against is Kershaw
