Do you think they will add anyone not on the 40 man currently? I guess they could just drop the Leatherman (or put Grimm on 60 day DL) if they wanted to call up someone like Tseng. Your list looks good...possibly add Eddie Butler to the mix although I'm not really sure what role he could play...dude that can't throw strikes is not a great fit in the pen.

some fun with rest of the season record: If the Cubs play .500 baseball the rest of the year they will finish 86-76 If the Cubs play their season winning % (.538) the rest of the way they will finish 88-74 If the Cubs play their 2nd half winning % (.642) the rest of the way, they will finish 91-71 -
This is what the Royals are doing. They haven't scored since the 2nd inning on Thursday. I suppose no take would be too hot, short of a Bryzzo demotion or something, if we ever experienced that. Yes, I know that's what the Royals have been doing. You were asking if people could "withhold the meatballery" if the Cubs had done the same thing. Yeah meatballery would not be flipping out about a stretch of offense that bad. Meatballery would be suggesting that we fire Joe, gut the team and start over because the current group is toast.

Trubisky may not be the greatest QB ever, but the running game is clearly excellent. I mean, do you know who the bears are? This whole thing just smacks of you trying to simulate human observations and concerns but failing miserably. No one will accept you with salad. Where are you projecting the Bears running game? Top 5 in the NFL? Well let's see they finished tied for 4th highest YPA in the league in 2016, have a stated offensive game plan to run to set up pass and should have a defense that is decent enough to keep them in games so that the run game is not abandoned.

I know he's a rookie (and know he came through with an RBI hit last AB) but I always imagined Happ as a guy that took better at bats than he often does. Like this AB where he swung at bad pitches twice with 2 runners on.

I was enjoying it just fine until their left fielder made a shoestring catch that probably works out 5% of the time, turns it into a triple play, and then 15 minutes later we go from up 3-0 to down 5-3. We've lost A LOT of games this year we should've won. Probably won't prevent us from making the playoffs, but it's been a year full of plenty of frustrating losses. I don't think we deserved to win today. 7 singles, 0 xbh, poor defense. It happens. Move on
