    The Bears want organizational stability and he did make an all-time trade. He picked or re-signed Caleb and DJ and Sweat and Rome and Edwards and Jalen and Wright and Kmet. That’s a solid foundation and prospective coaches see that. The McCaskeys also might see that as enough despite Poles’ misses as long as Warren looks over his shoulder. To his credit, George has been very open to hiring minorities. If he pushes to fire Poles, some media members are going to hammer him for not giving Poles enough time and I don’t think George wants those optics.

    If all that’s true, the McCaskeys aren’t really that tired of losing. And I’m very afraid that they aren’t willing to clean house and do what needs to be done to clean the stink from this organization. That’s why the McCaskeys are the owners of a losing team nearly every year.

    I think he wants to win, he just has no idea how to. They are afraid of someone who might do things that shake up the organization like a Harbaugh-type. But yes it’s not as imperative to win when you have the guaranteed national TV cash flow, every game is sold out, and your team isn’t in danger of making anything other than tons of cash whether you win or lose.
