Apart from the Bears ponying up big-time money for a head coach, I heard Ben Johnson swears a lot so that was another big step for the McCaskeys

I do believe him which makes it all the more rough that the Bears didn’t fire Eberflus and get him last year. But at least they got him now.

If so, that’s why Poles wasn’t fired. George or Kevin knew that they might have owed Poles for that.

Yes bravo, but it’s pretty disappointing that many folks in the NFL are surprised that you are willing to pay top coaching dollar. The Bears had been cheap.

The fact that after interviewing a gazillion candidates they still aren’t Rooney Rule approved so they have to rush in Eddie George to go hard after Ben Johnson is another layer of Bears stupid

I think the Bears requested him to be interviewed, but he wants to wait until the playoffs are over for him to talk to teams

Even if Glenn doesn’t get hired, I can’t see Detroit moving on from him. The Lions are too injured and are just running into a buzzsaw. 4 turnovers from the offense is nearly impossible to turn around.

Ben Johnson really likes trick plays, but that wasn’t the time

Dan Quinn was the better coach over Eberflus and Daniels is going to be the better QB. I’m not blaming Poles for picking Caleb #1 since it was the right decision at the time, but Daniels is incredibly impressive.

Depends. If Kyle Shanahan ever became available, you do it. There are a few coaches that are worth more than draft picks.
