Counsell just called him a complete hitter lol -
Who had Palencia, Brasier, Thielbar, Flexen, and Pomeranz with just 19 earned runs and a combined ERA under 2? Outside of Pressly’s one bad outing where they needed innings and Counsell left him out there, he has a 1.20 ERA. He’s only given up earned runs in 4 appearances out of 39. Two were in March and one was the blowup game.

There’s no way they will outbid everyone else for Tucker. They’ve never even spent $200 million on a player before, let alone $500-600 million. Ricketts has said he just wants to spend enough to get into the playoffs like some of the medium budget teams over the last few years.

Before tonight, Brown had the lowest starter FIP on the team. Best starter xFIP too. Second best pitching WAR. That‘s surprising.
