  1. Hyped up #1 overall pick that can’t hit deep balls, is widely inaccurate, can’t throw receivers open, holds onto the ball too long, and has questionable work ethic. These are serious issues that are instinctual for good QBs.
  2. He has not drafted a single player that became a Pro-Bowler. How did he get an extension? Because it’s the Bears.
  3. Moody was let go for missing kicks week 1, but this is probably just symbolic to Santos since he’s signed through 2027 and Moody is significantly worse than Santos
  4. Know your personnel and know the importance of only losing 5 yards versus losing a ton of time off the clock.
  5. There was talk of that, but I’m not sure if you want Taylor kicking off in a crucial spot when he’s never done it in a game before. The play should have been to kick it out of bounds. That’s the right decision a $13 million coach should have made.
  6. Ben Johnson said the plan was for Santos to kick the ball through the end zone to have more time on the clock should the defense force a three and out. But why would you risk losing 50 seconds of time when you could just kick it out of bounds, only lose 5 yards, and not put that on Santos who doesn’t have a strong leg and routinely doesn’t have the leg be able to kick it out of the end zone? Huge miss.
  7. I think so. Allen and Hargrave had 6 pressures EACH.
  8. Jonah Jackson with a team low 31.1 PFF grade. Ouch! That was Ben Johnson’s hand-picked RG.
  9. You would think that the Bears would get lucky and hire one right person in an area of leadership after all of these years
  10. See how easy this is, Bears? But believe it or not, the Bears hired the wrong guy to lead their project.
  11. Taking Taylor in the 4th round was crazy, but he’s supposed to be a much better punter than this
  12. 4/16 through 2027
  13. The occasional crazy sidearm throw
  14. Caleb is a smart dude. If he struggles throwing the ball deep, don’t even bother taking the shots lol.
  15. Not that it wouldn’t be the right move to bench Caleb, but Ben Johnson didn’t choose the Bears over every other team only to move to Bagent early on unless Ben was incredibly impressed by Tyson in the preseason
  16. I hope Caleb does become a great QB, but if Caleb continues to struggle and makes the same mistakes again and again, I still fear that he will be on an extra long leash because your coach and GM just started long-term contracts
  17. It was one of many
  18. A few weeks ago Dave Wannestedt said he was at a Bears practice right after they re-signed Bagent and was talking to Poles. Dave said, “It looks like you have a solid backup QB now.” Poles said, “ We have that and more.”
  19. Then that’s not a successful NFL QB
  20. His teammates are going to turn on him. You just can’t be that bad in the NFL. It’s the same thing over and over: can’t hit the deep ball, inaccuracy, holding it too long, not throwing it away, not seeing the open receiver. Can he make plays? Sure, but career backups can make plays.
  21. I’d put him up there with Kyle Shanahan, but yes very highly regarded. But I don’t care how good a coordinator and coach Ben is, you just can’t win with the type of performance Caleb showed today. He was really bad and did not show improvement.
  22. He was coming off a Pro-Bowl season. Now if we just had the Eagles’ line.
  23. The Bears have much bigger issues. I am genuinely scared that Caleb isn’t the guy. I understand that call if the game looked to be a shootout.
  24. Nobody said he was a great head coach. He’s a great play caller, but it’s going to be a learning process as he does things he’s never been exposed to in the moment. Let’s not forget that the Bears turned the ball over on downs on the Minnesota 24 in the 2nd quarter.
