And that call was rather dubious. It's almost like they felt like they had to call at least 1 foul in the quarter. As much as I would like fouls to be called, Rose blows by the Cavs so quickly and is so athletic that he doesn't draw contact. I'd rather fewer foul shots and more made jumpers, dunks, and layups.

Wel I remember him getting traded or released in camp because there was a glut of safeties and Harris showed the least. Leave it to another team to develop Harris. The Bears also fired their director of college scouting and brought in the Seattle guy that most people hate.

This is a very good move. The Bears still have an adequate backup with Hillenmeyer. Harris was traded because he showed nothing with the Bears. No one I can think of hated the trade. Then he got good in Carolina and destroyed the Bears when he played them. But aren't Harris and Wright both tackling safeties and not cover safeties? How much is this going to cost? Yesterday Jerry said there is only a little money left, so Faneca might be out of reach.

Wells is just another one of the Cubs' unheralded prospects that seems to play better than the ones who get the press. But that is fine by me.

Um no I mean his inability to be a good color commentator.

tommy hanson turned 23 in august last year and had 2 years of full-season ball under his belt, including spending most of the previous year at AA. starlin castro just turned 20 a month ago and has played only 1 year of full-season ball, most of which was spent in A ball. hanson starting the year in AAA was in large part a financial decision; starting castro in AA has a lot more to do with not rushing the player and hurting his development. Yes but it seems to be that Castro is ready to join the big leagues. He showed it in ST and has shown it in the minors. I don't think he can really develop any more down there. He has maxed out the development he could get in the minors.

I haven't been able to listen to WGN Radio yet this year, but I heard that Ronnie is sounding far worse than ever. Is it time for him to go? Who would replace him?

He most certainly should not have. Agree. No need to rush a 20 year old SS, just because some people think it would be "cool" to see. It wasn't rushing. It wasn't "cool" to see. Castro was ready and he would have provided the best SS/2B combo the team could have put out there (Castro/Theriot). Fontenot has shown he isn't fundamentally sound enough to be an everyday 2B. Theriot barely is too. losing a year of Castro's pre-FA and pre-arb eligibility for this is almost certainly NOT worth it Tell that to the Braves last year who held back Tommy Hanson and were close to getting in the playoffs. They didn't make the same mistake with Heyward this year. You would think that when a team doesn't win a championship for over 100 years that they would be smarter than this. Little things count.

If the Bears land Faneca which I doubt due to his salary, will Beekman get a legitimate shot at winning the center job? If the Bears land Faneca and move Beekman over, the line went from bad to average which is a big jump.

The NBA playoffs: FAN-tastic! The Hawks and Bulls started off their playoff series with the Hawks and Bulls playing game 1 a day apart. Now by the time the Bulls play game 4, it will be the day before the Hawks play game 6 That is only for the first round so all the games can be on TV and not overlap?

Kiper really liked the Major Wright pick. He thought Wright would have gone in the early to mid second round.

He might be too aggressive for a Cover 2. He wasn't particularly good in Minnesota. He's still better than the suckfest they have right now
