  1. Does Mitch Williams have turrets? :D
  2. Where is that website that shows what game is playing on national TV?
  3. I'm watching footage from the DVD the NFL sent out to the teams on ESPN. One of the VPs is doing the voice over explaining what kind of hits they like and don't like. I still can't understand what they wanted Robinson of the Falcons to do differently. He hit Jackson's chest with his own shoulder. That looked like a textbook hit. Where else did he want Robinson to hit him? In the waist? It really wasn't possible for him to get hit anywhere else.
  4. Does Mitch Williams have terets?
  5. With Garza still not practicing, I think Webb is still going to be at RT. Hopefully, Garza is back after the BYE, Chris Williams goes back to LT, and Omiyale back to RT for the rest of the year. But that's just me speculating. In a perfect world, you want your first round draft pick at LT. But hasn't Omiyale played a little better there? Frank was probably worse at RT than anything else. I just wish they would pick a position and keep each guy there. No one is going to be good if they play three positions in a year.
  6. Brad Biggs asked Martz if he thought that Olsen was a good blocker when he lines up on the weak side to block. Martz said that Olsen has been doing a great job all season at that and that Biggs should "go look at the tape." No, you really don't want to do that Mike. Is Martz blind or just covering for his Olsen?
  7. The secondary blitzers aren't Cutler's fault when they are coming from his blindside and he is trusting that his linemen will pick it up. Martz has to call more running plays, more three step drops, more screens, and more roll outs to utilize Cutler's athleticism. When he did this vs. Dallas, that seemed to curtail their pressure because the Bears burned them on a few plays.
  8. One Yankee fan who was not even going for the ball obviously pushed Cruz's mitt away. Granted it was after the ball had been missed, but you still can't do that. That fan has to be kicked out.
  9. After the game he said that he doesn't want to injure anyone (make them miss the rest of the game or the next game), he just wants to hurt the opponent. That's fine, but when you go helmet to helmet (which is illegal), you are not intending to hurt them, but to injure them. The NFL is entirely justified in threatening to suspend players who go head hunting. That is an illegal hit that is keeping good players out of games due to concussions and will seriously impact later quality of life. Rodney Harrison said it was only after he was suspended for his dirty hits that he got the message. Those who think the NFL is butting in and trying to ruin their perfectly good sport don't realize that these type of hits are going to slowly destroy the sport. The NFL is perfectly justified in protecting their product. Now trying to force and 18 game schedule is another thing.
  10. Well they do have a first round pick at LT and RT. I wish Jerry's first round offensive lineman could actually play. Chris Williams and.... I was referring to Washington.

  12. After yesterday's game Jay Cutler was asked if Martz's offense has any audibles. Jay said no, only hot reads. When Lovie Smith was asked this same question at his press conference today, he said yes we do have some audibles. No one knows what the heck is going on! Over their last three games, the Bears are averaging one third down conversion per game. And all three of those were in the Carolina game.
  13. I was gonna mention during the game that at least 3 times every game I see a cutler pass sail into the middle of the field 10 yards from anyone and Knox is always somewhere in the shot looking confused. after one of them, they showed cutler, who clearly said "what happened? what happened?" and it's not that he's a bad route-runner, he's actually a pretty good route-runner, it's just that he's a complete idiot and doesn't know which route to run. In a Martz offense, don't you have to have somewhat intelligent receivers because his plays are so complicated? Unfortunately with Hester and Knox you don't have that. I can see why Martz was only hired after everyone else said no. The Bears have the wrong line and the wrong receivers for this offense.
  14. We all know the Bear defense is a bend but not break defense. Why would anyone get all up in arms when they give up what we all knew they would give up - lots of yards? This was the worst defensive game they had played, but good defenses are due a stinker every now and then. All I care about is how many points they give up and the Bears have been just fine at doing that this year. My concern is centered around the lack of pressure on the QB. It makes the rest of the team bad when you can't do this. It forces Marinelli to blitz and the Bears are terrible blitzers. Your perennial Pro Bowl LB was out too. They're not giving up THAT many yards though. Yeah you are right. They are 6th in yards allowed. I guess in just seemed like they were.

  16. Billick: "The punter's pride was hurt more than anything else." No not really his ribs were.
  17. The 2010 Bears should never think they have any comfortable wins coming their way. Not with this line.
  18. They are more disciplined?
  19. And Jerry had plenty of time to put together some semblance of a solid line knowing you had Martz coming in whose offenses rack up a ton of sacks. The line has been bad since the 2nd half of 2006. Right, but my point was that it had to be even more of a priority with the Martz offense coming in.
  20. And Jerry had plenty of time to put together some semblance of a solid line knowing you had Martz coming in whose offenses rack p a ton of sacks.
  21. That's what happens when your starting RT is a seventh round draft pick. He just has no idea who he is supposed to be covering. Jerry only has one first round draft pick that he got playing today.
  22. The problem with Jay is that he just doesn't know when to throw the ball away. He tries to make the impossible throw every time. I think Orton is a little better decision maker at this point in his career.
  23. he gets results. He throws the ball around quite a bit, but their record isn't great this year and Denver folded late last year. He has looked better in Denver than I thought he would. But Orton would be no better than Jay with the Chicago line.
  24. False well we're almost a season and a half from when the traqde happened and orton how outperformed cutler significantly since then soooooo. ortion doesn't even have marshall anymore and he's still beasting. How's Denver's line compare to Chicago's?
