  1. They skipped right over one of the assistant coaches in LA. That was supposed to be his 5 seconds of fame. Poor guy. The massage therapist gets a ring. Ha!
  2. So there are about 5 or 6 guys trying to come to a consensus in the Bears booth who relay their decision to Lovie on whether or not to challenge a call. The offensive guys decide for offensive plays and defensive guys for defensive plays. But how do they come to a consensus and how long does that take when you need to make a pretty quick recommendation to Lovie? Just a terrible way to bring challenges down to Lovie.
  3. San Diego should never have fired Shottenheimer. I never have liked how team defense is statistically focused on yards and not points. In terms of points San Diego's offense is 7th, while their defense is 17th. They are not as good as their yards per game indicates.
  4. Pigs flew today. Lovie actually admitted that he made a mistake by not challenging the goal line Cutler fumble.
  5. I think about a week after the circus trip ends.
  6. I really have no confidence that Tice can turn the line around. Jerry or the new GM just has to get better talent. It wouldn't hurt to give Aromashadu some more playing time. When Cutler throws balls up, the Bears have no receivers with size to battle for the ball.
  7. Dungy is pointing out what we all know, but it still needs to be said. When Jay gets under pressure, he mechanics break down. He backpedals, throws off his back foot, and throws wounded ducks. On the Hall INT return for a TD, the Bears are in the red zone with 3 or 4 receivers. All the receivers are running into the endzone and no one runs a 5 yard out. None of the receivers picked up the hot read. And they all seemed to break to the sideline which made Jay have to put a lit more air under the ball. That is the problem with Martz. No audibles, everybody goes long, and no one is there to help Jay out. With that said, Jay has to improve his mechanics.
  8. I really can't thing of one single thing that Lovie Smith does well as a football coach
  9. That is not what he said ...by performing a double move. They obviously aren't smart enough to change their strategy. The Bears offense is the definition of a psychotic individual - they do the same thing every time and expect different results.
  10. Troy: Why don't the Bears pick on Hall? Next play, Hall's 4th INT
  11. This game should go down as a tie no matter who wins
  12. 3rd down conversion! Holy smokes.
  13. We were all clamoring for a QB sneak when the Bears are on the 1 and look what happened.
  14. Seriously find another team so the Bears can score here.
  15. Good challenge. The Bears have to be the worst team in the league if they are given first and goal from inside the one yard line.
  16. That's how you beat the blitz. Line picks up the minimum and a quick pass must come.
  17. Bennett is a great blocker and a pretty tough cookie for a small guy. Is he getting close to being the full-time slot receiver?
  18. So many things have to go right for this offense to score. Nothing is easy.
  19. Almost got sacked and possibly stripped of the ball, could have run for a TD, but made a great play!
  20. His accuracy seems to have declined since the injury.
  21. With the possibility of a lockout looming, I really don't think you can blame the McKaskeys for not firing Lovie and Jerry after last season. But have no fear I am sure that both of them are gone if the Bears fail to make the playoffs this year.
  22. That was another play where the defense was clearly blitzing and Cutler could have audibled if Martz allowed his QBs to audible.
  23. I'm sure they will listen to the 8 fans picketing and ignore the 65,000 that still choose to attend Bears games every week. They have more radio listeners than anyone else and their Facebook page is hot! All is well in the McCaskey household.
  24. Ricky Proehl was interviewed this week and talked about how stubborn Martz is. In the Super Bowl vs new England, they learned that the Patriots were going to rush 3 and drop 8. Martz insisted they throw their way through that defense. Proehl and a bunch of others wanted to run the ball more. Proehl said he would rather win than run their typical offense. The Rams lost that Super Bowl. I think that is exactly Martz's problem. He has a bit of an ego and won't change his strategy up. By the tiem Martz realizes something has to change, it will be too late. Cutler will be out with an even more serious injury or out of the playoff hunt.
