  1. I don't know if Detroit has less potent offensive weapons. They have Pettigrew and Johnson.
  2. Unless you are Hawk Harrelson. Maybe sully is Hawk Harrelson?
  3. Bad defense by Houston. Everyone needed to be on the perimeter. Why bother going inside of it?
  4. THAT'S KARMA BABY!
  5. Derrick isn't getting calls that he should be getting. But it wouldn't hurt to not always try to miss the contact. Just try to get people to foul you instead slicing through the defense at the bucket. Jump into people.
  6. I'm sure you're thinking of Logan Mankins, as Mangold plays for the Jets. Anyway, New England wanted a 1st-rounder for Mankins, which is why he's still a Patriot. No thanks. Considering that Jerry is not really good at drafting first rounders, it was a possibility. If the Bears were going to go out and get a lineman in the draft with a first, why not get a guy with that pick who you won't have to guess with. I guess the only problem with that is you have Williams at LG already. Too bad he probably won't be a LT.
  7. What did the Pats want for Mangold when he was holding out? I wish Jerry would have gone after him. It is no secret that I am not a huge Cutler fan. But if you give the guy even an average line, he is a top-10 QB. Give the guy a terrible line, and he completely folds. There are a few QBs who can put up average to good stats with a horrible line, but Jay is a guy who has to have decent line play because his footwork goes down the tubes and his decision making is not great under pressure. Getting a good line will be doubly effective. He has the worst line in the league this year and has a 90 QB rating. What the hell are you talking about? This isn't Rex Grossman we're talking about. The line wasn't horrible last year and Jay didn't play well. Jay wasn't playing well through the first half of this year because the line was bad. As the line improved and Martz changed his play calling to help them out Jay has played better.

  9. I don't know. I thought Jordan blocked a layup on the right side of the basket early in the home game that kind of set the tempo for the rest of the game.
  10. It's one thing to find their size, but another to find their talent especially late in the draft (assuming they get linemen early). I would not be surprised if Jerry doesn't go after as many linemen as we wish. Frank is young and they just signed him. Williams isn't going anywhere. Olin is playing better, but you don't usually don't go for centers early on. They will probably try to get at least one more year out of him. Garza just might be the best lineman on the team. And Webb is a rookie and they might want to give him time. Obviously the line is terrible, but I wonder if Jerry will go after a CB first. Or a more serviceable backup QB even thought they need to get one through FA who is a veteran.
  11. It probably was.
  12. The whole thing would've been much more entertaining if Cleveland had a halfway decent team to at least put up some semblance of a fight on the court. I think it was fitting, showing the world just how much Cleveland needed LeBron. They went from #1 seed in the east, to pure garbage because of one player. It reminded me of Jordan's first game in Chicago as a Wizard. All that hype for the game, and the Bulls looked beyond awful. I think they scored under 70 points for the game. Wasn't that on the same day as the Bears/Philly playoff game? I remember the play where Jordan blocked/trapped a shot against the backboard. The Bulls played terribly.
  13. You're nuts. It's not THE most pressing need, but it's up there. I think the Bears need a certain type of receiver. They have no need for another small, speedy guy. They need someone with size and height.
  14. The stars always get the calls. If the refs are really missing calls like you think, it won't belong before Rose gets them.
  15. Has a 12 win team ever missed the playoffs?
  16. How did Cleveland sell out their first 10 games this season?
  17. Miami could win by 50.
  18. http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2010/1202/nba_a_cavs_signs_b1_576.jpg Like Father, like son. Ouch.
  19. Some of us are masochists.
  20. This was Colin Cowherd's lock of the year (literally). He thought Miami would get blown out by 15.
  21. So they beat one team with a winning record. Wow.
  22. Is Jay in the stands or something?
  23. Orlando is not a good matchup for the Bulls. And the offense has yet to mesh with Boozer. If Orlando lands Arenas they could beat L.A.
  24. Anyone think that a fan or group of fans could get violent in Cleveland tomorrow night when LeBron comes back? Security will be strengthened at Quicken Loans Arena, but I hope they have metal detectors at the stadium. I hope no one runs out on the court.
  25. I thought there was always an ESPN game on Wednesday. Atdhe tonight I guess. The Boston game on Friday will be on ESPN at least.
