If you're going to find fault in Thibodeau, I would think it would have to be for doing so much with Derrick in the regular season, which probably has much more to do with it(in an "injuries beget injuries" sense) than taking him out with 2/3/5/40 mins left in the game. The more I read about today's game, Thibs was justified in keeping him in. I didn't know Philly was cutting the deficit to 12 from 20. It is a playoff game where you have to make sure to close out. I'm more disappointed in letting Rose play in a few games during the regular season when I didn't think Rose was totally healthy and they didn't need him to defeat Charlotte and New Orleans.

Thibs has played people who didn't need to play late in games all the time. It was bound to come back and bite him. You can say "Well this could anytime" but the fact is that it happened when Rose shouldn't have been out there. Thibs played Rose when he was hurt against New Orleans and Charlotte too for no reason. That was stupid and so was this mishap.

The Bears were 6th in scoring when Jay went down. With the additions at WR and RB and a scheme that will protect Jay more, I'm hoping for a smoother, more consistent offense that is less risky. The line was right in the middle of the pack when it came to protecting Jay before he got hurt believe it or not. They should be better, but I'm still scared that the Bears have a poor LT. Just takes one shot on Jay for the season to be over.
