  1. Now this is QB pressure. Much better than last week. Now let's get a TD.
  2. Seems to me that a lot of players trying more than ever to get away with holding/pass interference with the new refs
  3. Luck probably looked exactly like Favre did his first game except Luck wasn't drunk. Luck will be just fine. he looked like a david carr on his wedding night. Great joke
  4. With all that said, the only thing I really care about is whether a QB can win a Super Bowl and I'm sure Jay can. Luck will too one day.
  5. Favre didn't have the highest football IQ at times because he took too many unnecessary chances. But his IQ seems to be higher than Jays who likes throwing the ball to the other team too much. I hope this stat improves and I would imagine it would. Cutler was great today. HE STOMPED ON YOUR NUT-SACK TODAY, SAY IT He did and I loved every minute of it

  8. so some quarterbacks that have low football iqs are good and some aren't? wonderfully insightful stuff. Gunslingers who score TDs to overcome their INTs also overcome their bad QB IQs. but you said the whole problem was bad qb iq. you are twisted up ass-deep [expletive] in your own creepy logic again. Smart QB's throw TDs. Dumb ones throw INTs. Favre has a much better TD to INT % even though he is a gunslinger. This really is not that hard. But the point is that the best QBs in the league don't have Cutler's physical abilities, yet they are better. Why is that? I find Luck to be more in the mold of the elite QBs and that is a good thing. I also think Luck's ceiling is higher.

  10. Cutler obviously, though Luck had a 70% completion % his last two years at Stanford. One game though. I'm fairly certain by the end of next year Luck will have the higher football IQ. He won't be the better QB by then, but I think his career ceiling is higher than Cutler's. The one thing holding Jay back is that he tries to force passes. And I don't see that improving any time soon. having confidence in yourself and your receivers doesn't mean you have a low "football iq". tons of successful quarterbacks have been gunslingers, including the qb who holds most of every record. i don't get your point. It does if you throw too many INTs. It means (1.5:1 vs 1.3:1) you are forcing things beyond your ability. The one gunslinger you are talking about has a much higher TD to INT % than Cutler does . That's my point.
  11. It would have been if you had said it
  12. Who buried Tagliabue alive? Pete Rozelle

  14. You could have said those very same things about Peyton Manning, Brees, and maybe even Brady the last 10 years. Some people are just smarter than the rest and have a better football IQ. I think Luck is going to have a higher football IQ compared to Jay before long. Maybe Jay just needed a great receiver to make his football IQ look better than it is. We'll see. re: arguments being dumb as dog [expletive] How good is Manning's athleticism? He has average arm strength. A veritable statue. Notice you didn't say anything about accuracy. That is what those three guys have and that is one of Jay's weaknesses. i don't know where those guys come in and i don't know how one can assert, from watching today's game, that luck is accurate. i do know that jay has won his last 6 starts in fairly impressive fashion and most likely would have had a chance at the super bowl had he not been injured last year. I agree with your last line. My point is that you can't say that athleticism and a strong arm means you are a better QB or will be one when 3/4 of the top QBs in the league don't have those traits (Rodgers is the perfect mix of everything). But the more I think about it, I think Luck is just about as athletic as Cutler. What did he run in the 40? 4.5-4.6?
  15. More athleticism and a stronger arm too :D

That is what those three guys have and that is one of Jay's weaknesses. Michael Vick has a cannon, the best escapability in NFL history, but he admitted he never studied crap in the film room in Atlanta. And that is why he won't win anything. That and the fact that he is injury prone.
  17. Supposedly Manning can't throw to the right and deep, but he just gave Thomas a deep one that he missed. Perfect throw.
  18. The blowout was great on so many levels, but it should really help Urlacher. He didn't look good at all today. I guess he was pissed that he was taken out, but he doesn't know what's best for him. Kind of like playing in week 17 last year.
  19. Gumbel said that Shannahan said that Cutler has a better arm that Elway did. Really?

  21. They seriously have to make an effort to get that message out. It's embarrassing. There are people on the field who hold up big orange road signs that say "Quiet Bears working" or something to the effect when the Bears get in the red zone.
  22. Shea has done nothing. Dline probably the worst part of the team today. No pressure all day. What game are you watching? They keep letting Luck get away.
  23. Shea has done nothing. Dline probably the worst part of the team today. No pressure all day.
  24. Obviously the Bears are playing well today, but both lines need improvement. I still think Jay needs to be a little more careful with the ball. Elite QBs don't throw into trouble nearly as much as he does.
  25. Best thing is that Urlacher gets to rest. I didn't see him doing much today anyway.
