  1. Dumb to call a TO just to yell at the ref if that was the only reason
  2. Wow no call for late hit
  3. I think Jay kinda coaxed the ref into that penalty if you ask me. But good for him.
  4. Long TD scoring drive that keeps New Orleans off the field. Great job Jay! That was an ugly drive, but a scoring drive which is all that matters.
  5. Who's all out for the Bears today?
  6. You guys will probably have a lot more info on this I only heard this on the B/B show), but didn't the Cubs just hire a new public relations director for things not pertaining to baseball? He has close ties with the political higher ups in Chicago with the hopes of trying to break in and forge a new deal with the city on Wrigley Field. And he is an African American. I can't remember another African American having a high position with the Cubs before.
  7. Everything you mentioned is spot on. Now that he seems to have allowed for a more professional and aggressive approach to the offense, his time out/challenge issues are the most glaring example of unnecessarily handicapping his own team's effort. I just don't get it. The same mistakes over and over again. http://www.onionsportsnetwork.com/articles/lovie-smith-says-voices-in-headset-keep-calling-hi,21267/?utm_source=recentnews
  8. ? Who was trolling Bears fans? you, you [expletive] Are you drunk? I just assumed he was 90% of the time.
  9. I didn't see anyone running over Garza or Williams. How'd they do?
  10. Why would you put an average player on an average defense on the cover of SI?
  11. Serena got crushed today in the women's final 6-2, 6-3. During the match she hit a forehand and yelled "Come on" as Stosur was reaching down with her backhand. The chair umpire awarded the point to Stosur even though Serena won the point because of the scream during Stosur's shot. "During the changeover two games later, Williams continued to talk to Asderaki [the chair umpire], saying, "You're out of control. ... You're a hater, and you're just unattractive inside. ... And I never complain. Wow." Yep Serena you never complain. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/breaking/chi-serena-again-argues-with-open-official-falls-to-stosur-in-final-20110911,0,4648035.story
  12. After watching them today -- especially that OLine -- I'm not sure they really did. Seems like they are a little like us in that respect. They have issues up front and it doesn't look like they addressed them. Yeah the Falcons gave up too much for Julio Jones and that hurt their ability to solidify their overall team. Julio might end up being a hell of a WR but the short-term gains are not going to justify the cost of that trade. I thought the Jones pickup was perfect. They needed another speedy WR to stretch the field. But for some reason the OC didn't call anything deep all game. Wasn't that the point of giving 5 guys for Jones?
  13. After watching them today -- especially that OLine -- I'm not sure they really did. Seems like they are a little like us in that respect. They have issues up front and it doesn't look like they addressed them. Their center was out today. We'll see how the line looks when he is back. I still think they are better with the additions of Jones and Edwards.
  14. this was domination, we [expletive] them in the ass. Who did you pick in today's game?
  15. This was a win that I didn't expect. Atlanta was a solid team last year and they got better in the offseason. With the tough schedule the Bears have early on, it was a good early win.
  16. As long as he makes plays he can act like a clown. But the moment he stops it will tick me off.
  17. That Roy Williams is one tough cookie....wait no
  18. What did the Bears defense do against the Jets in the third quarter last year? I know the offense finally clicked.
  19. When you can't throw the ball deep and don't even have the threat of throwing it deep, it is pretty hard to beat the Bears. The Bears will bend and won't normally break and the Falcons just want to methodically bring the ball up the field.
  20. Looked like a TD to me. Didn't step out until a yard deep in the endzone. the ball has to cross the goal line in bounds and there's no way to see if it did without a non-existent overhead shot. A bit late but that's why it was a dumb challenge. It's probably a touchdown but they had nothing to review it. And against this Falcons defense, I have complete confidence they could punch it in from the half yard line. PEPPERS AND URLACHER!! Lovie loves to try to get his guys TDs after great plays even if he ends up burning timeouts in the process.
  21. I'll take Jay's 140 QB rating
