  1. I guess this slow mo shows that Parkey's FG was tipped. He's still gone before next season.
  2. If they're charging $6 a month, I can't imagine the dominant cable providers in Chicago (Comcast and RCN) will pick up the network, right? If they do it will be a pretty big standoff. Will the Cubs offer the channel to streaming providers for a separate fee? That’s a good question about streaming providers, I’d like to know that too. I mean if you’re in market idk why you couldn’t get it through a YouTube TV or something. Anyways I think the article nailed it on how the Cubs think they can play it with the $6 fee, assuming Sinclair is the partner. Are the Cubs even allowed to offer the channel to streaming providers and then streamed locally in Chicago or will that be blacked out?
  3. Parkey is begging for this to be true
  4. He lost them the game and he lost them the first round bye too. Tough season for Parkey. Tough? If you don’t want to practice at Soldier Field maybe you should be replaced. And if you still suck after practicing there maybe you should take up typewriting. I'm with you on that. I can't imagine Parkey getting another job next year.
  5. He lost them the game and he lost them the first round bye too. Tough season for Parkey.
  6. Mitch played well enough to win. He outplayed Foles and had a ton of poise in the 4th quarter. Mack was surprising for me. A lot of great tackles against the run, but the Eagles bottled him up in pass protection. Maybe I’m seeing things, but it sure seemed that Parkey closed his shoulders and hips too much too early and that resulted in the pulled kick.
  7. Gould is on this team for sure next year. Probably going to have to lose a decent player on this team now or in FA to get him with Parkey’s dead money.
  8. I wanted Parkey gone after mid season and now he is going to be gone. Might never be in this position again even though the Bears are certainly on the uptick.
  9. Shaheen is slow and stiff. Looks like he’s hurt after every catch.
  10. Or any number of defensive players
  11. Random...he probably did his job by giving the Bears some dirt on Peterson. Shaheen coming out party? Can’t hurt, but I’d hope Nagy has enough dirt on Peterson already
  12. Random...he probably did his job by giving the Bears some dirt on Peterson. Shaheen coming out party? Not enough speed to get the targets Burton would if Trey is out
  13. Trey Burton questionable with a groin injury
  14. According to @ProFootballDoc, team docs can’t travel across state lines with pain killers. Had this injury happened to a Seahawks player, he wouldn’t have received any meds immediately. Not sure if EMTs at the stadium can administer anything.
  15. Tomlin has a press conference today. Not sure if it’s just his usual end-of-the-year press conference or something bigger.
  16. Mitch is playing really well, but the last few weeks the Bears did a lot of dink and dunking
  17. Cousins and Stafford had on average 97 QB ratings the last 3 years with a 3:1 TD to INT rate (85:30) while throwing for about 4,500 yards per season. Trubisky is not better than that by a large margin. Gentlemen’s bet on who scores the most fantasy points between the three in a standard league? All things considered, I think Mitch had the best season by any QB in the NC North. I don't know where he stands in fantasy. Not first or second due to missed games. Cousins somehow has the best stats, but he failed in big games. I didn't see Mitch being this good, but Nagy obviously has really improved his play.
  18. According to Pro Football Doc, Miller dislocated his shoulder again, but he could play next week https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/profootballdoc/sd-sp-pfd-anthony-miller-shoulder-bears-playoffs-1230-story.html
  19. How did Kyle Long look?
  20. Twitter is saying looking like Saturday afternoon. Lower 40*s for a January game is nice.
  21. This is the Hugh Douglas retribution game
  22. Played with fire, but hopefully Miller is OK. Everyone in the NFC fears the Bears.
  23. Well 2019 Parkey will probably be better than 2018 Parkey too. But spending much money on the K spot would be ill advised. It doesn't cost that much guaranteed to go and bring in a decent competitor for him. This. Absolutely go out and bring in some league minimum guys or use a 7th round pick or whatever to have a competition, but you can't spend real money on another kicker. The team has 25 in cap room after they cut Sims, but they need to retain or replace Amos, Callahan, and Massie as well as some of the depth guys like Lynch. Trevathan and Long are both cuttable, but either of those would be a robbing Peter to pay Paul situation IMO. Also, as bad as Parkey has been this year, the difference between his season and an average one is like 2-3 extra FGs and 1-2 extra points. Those can be important but it's not worth like $10m in effective salary salary. Parkey is the difference between getting a bye and playing next week
  24. No reason to be playing him
