    Sounds like the trade for Ball is official. Does that mean the tampering investigation is over?

    The German coach from the modern pentathlon event was disqualified because she punched a horse. The horse was presumably acting up because it didn't know its rider. The rider and horse get paired together 20 minutes before the event for fairness reasons. I don't get that. You can't bring your own horse like other horse events allow for whatever reason.

    Nadal vs Federer for #2 is a good debate. Federer is the more complete player, but Nadal is up 24-16 (10-4 in grand slams) in the head-to-head rivalry.

    Novak wins Wimbledon for his 20th major (3rd Wimbledon victory in a row) and is now tied with Nadal and Federer at 20 grand slams. Only two people have ever held all four men’s major singles titles in a calendar year and none since Rod Laver in 1969. He’s going to be the goat in September.

    I've thought about this since reading his GQ article last week. Scottie in the past has been pretty guarded in what he says, but has been known to let something slip every once in awhile that is along the lines of the things he's saying. Doubling down on calling Phil a racist is pretty bizarre, but the rest of the stuff he's said does not surprise me, it only surprises me that his filter is off. Then I remembered that Scottie's son died literally 2 months ago. I wonder if that has anything to do with it...the man has to be grieving, and people do unusual things while they grieve. Scottie's just trying to save face. "The Last Dance" did him no favors.

    Luckily, Hoyer won't be forced to make a dumb decision and try to win with this team. By the trading deadline, no one will be clamoring for three starters and the two outfielders needed to make this team a real contender.

    I don't care if they are good. They aren't winning the World Series good and if you aren't going to sign Baez or Bryant or Rizzo, trade them all with Kimbrel before July 1. There is good regular season baseball and there is good playoff baseball. Just like when the Cubs beat up on the Mets in 2015 and got hammered in the playoffs because the Mets have better starting pitching. I thought we’ve all learned this isn’t a thing. Didn’t we all learn it wasn’t a thing like 15 years ago? Make the playoffs and take a spin on the Playoff Roulette wheel. Of course it could happen. But the chances are slim with a weak rotation that doesn’t throw hard. If you plan on signing the core, go all in. If you aren’t, continue the rebuild and acquire prospects.

Pick a lane.

    He got the first vaccine dose this week only after he was in the covid protocol due to contact tracing. Too late. If Rahm had received the second dose weeks ago and still tested positive without symptoms, would he still be forced to WD? If a MLB player that is fully vaccinated gets covid without symptoms, do they still have to sit out?

    This is on ownership. The McCaskeys have been at the helm of a losing team for decades. How they didn’t fire Pace and Nagy is beyond me. Until they sell the team, the Bears will suck.

    Hasn't it been all but said he's not a Nagy fan? On 670 last week, Long took some blame and he said that he was mainly immature and mad that he was injured. I don’t see any hate with Long for Nagy now.

    I had a feeling Kyle Long wanted to get back in the league. On Spiegel and Parkins, he said he was back up to playing weight and was working out again. He also smoothed over some of his Bears hate. Let him try out for LT or RT?

    The question is when should you get relief from a divot in the fairway? It’s not black and white. Up until you see any grass growing in the divot? What stinks is that a player rakes a sand trap, which is a hazard, so the next person in it gets a good lie, but you can get terrible lies in the fairway. The rub of the green they say. I don’t think there’s really a question, you should always get relief from a fairway divot. It makes no sense why you shouldn’t. Just get the standard club length that doesn’t put you closer to the hole/improve the lie (going from rough to fairway). Treat a divot like a sprinkler head if the ball is in it. But what constitutes a divot? When does an old divot become regular fairway?
