  1. Played with fire, but hopefully Miller is OK. Everyone in the NFC fears the Bears.
  2. Well 2019 Parkey will probably be better than 2018 Parkey too. But spending much money on the K spot would be ill advised. It doesn't cost that much guaranteed to go and bring in a decent competitor for him. This. Absolutely go out and bring in some league minimum guys or use a 7th round pick or whatever to have a competition, but you can't spend real money on another kicker. The team has 25 in cap room after they cut Sims, but they need to retain or replace Amos, Callahan, and Massie as well as some of the depth guys like Lynch. Trevathan and Long are both cuttable, but either of those would be a robbing Peter to pay Paul situation IMO. Also, as bad as Parkey has been this year, the difference between his season and an average one is like 2-3 extra FGs and 1-2 extra points. Those can be important but it's not worth like $10m in effective salary salary. Parkey is the difference between getting a bye and playing next week
  3. No reason to be playing him
  4. If Fangio does leave, Bowles will be there as a d coordinator. So might Zimmer.
  5. He's got 5 million in dead cap next year, he'll be back barring some sort of playoff nightmare. If they cut Long they’ll get that money back.
  6. Parkey is gone next year. They’ll give Gould a one year deal.
  7. I’m going to just say it - the Bears are the best team in the NFL. I just wish I could trust their kicker.
  8. What a play by Gabriel. Pull the starters, please.
  9. Why is ODonnell that close to the field when the Vikings are kicking? At least the Bears are one of the least penalized teams in the league.
  10. What a punt from deep in your own end zone. And Cohen is still football dumb.
  11. A Kevin White sighting. Great catch.
  12. The Vikings stink. Let them in because they look like the weakest team in the NFC. but they aren't. I'd much rather face Philadelphia The Eagles have a QB or two that can win big games. The Vikings don’t.
  13. If the Bears are thinking about pulling them 6 minutes in, most of the starters should never have played That doesn’t make sense. The decision is based on game conditions. You can argue that they shouldn’t have played because there was no way the Rams were losing and if that’s your view it’s a valid opinion. I thought that there was at least a fighting chance for the 49ers based on how they’ve played of late. But 1 more TD and it will be pretty clear that the Rams are going to win comfortably Edit: also of concern is that the Seahawks are struggling today although it’s only 3-0 Arizona. If you want to avoid Seattle in round 1 you are keeping an eye on that one before pulling any starters The Rams had a 90% chance of winning which is why yesterday I said I was all for not playing any important starters today
  14. If the Bears are thinking about pulling them 6 minutes in, most of the starters should never have played horsefeathers that. knockk the vikings out f the postseason. The Vikings stink. Let them in because they look like the weakest team in the NFC.
  15. Cohen is a very talented football player. But he’s not bright. Still don’t trust Parkey on any kick he attempts. Vikings look really bad.
  16. If the Bears are thinking about pulling them 6 minutes in, most of the starters should never have played
  17. Is that a real quote because that’s an insane thing to say Jabari thinks teams only care about offense, but why say what he said? He’s costing himself big money. Just buy him out already.
  18. At the very least he shouldn't play again this season. Hopefully he has someone in his life that can point him in the right direction. How would an injury retirement impact the cap room?
  19. Stay tuned. Based on his comments after the game, I'm scared as horsefeathers that he's coming back next year. How happy would Rose be as a 6th or 7th man on the Bulls? Maybe he knows that's his place now, but I don't see how that would help Dunn's development. How good of a team of Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine, Zion Williamson, Lauri Markkanen, and Wendell Carter next year because no great FA is coming here and a #1 pick is all that can propel this team forward. Williamson is what this team desperately needs, especially because the Bulls have no SF.
  20. You mean there’s only a 4% chance that a non-bye team makes it to the Super Bowl? I’m not worried about being a non-bye team. Defense travels. I’m more concerned that Mack or Trubisky or Hicks or Cohen gets injured. What if they get injured in the wild card game? I'm far more worried about a player getting injured in a game that has an incredibly small chance of mattering than I am about a player getting injured in a wild card game that you could have bypassed by playing the starters when too many things would have to happen to even be in that position in the first place
  21. It’s much more than not being guaranteed. It’s an incredibly small chance. That's crazy talk. It involves two football games, one of which is a little better than 50/50 and one of which is a little worse. The Rams are going to win 9/10 times. This isn’t even close to two 50/50 games.
  22. It’s much more than not being guaranteed. It’s an incredibly small chance.
  23. There’s also roughly a 96% chance (95.3% to be exact) that a non-bye team makes it to the Super Bowl. 6 teams out of 128 have done it since 2002. Such a dramatic difference in odds it’s worth trying to me. You mean there’s only a 4% chance that a non-bye team makes it to the Super Bowl? I’m not worried about being a non-bye team. Defense travels. I’m more concerned that Mack or Trubisky or Hicks or Cohen gets injured.
