  1. Can we please lay Nagy’s fantasy about being an NFL play caller to rest now, Jeebus. His pride is taking a huge hit. Looks like Fields is going to start next week, but Nagy wouldn’t commit.
  2. Thats relatively good news if true, but still enough for me to very confidently say the Bears will be 2-6. I’d probably think that even if healthy. Williams has been running well though he is a different runner than Montgomery. I’d feel better if Cohen was alive Is Cohen going to be back week 7?
  3. Nagy confirmed Lazor called the plays
  4. “Positive sign that he’s walking off.” Not really, means nothing. But hoping for some luck.
  5. There goes the Bears’ best offensive player
  6. I can’t watch the game yet, but do we know who is calling plays?
  7. Only if Nagy relinquishes play calling. A Nagy coached team has put up 40+ points twice (2018 against the Bucs and last year against the Jaguars), but I don’t see it happening today with Fields.
  8. I think it's possible. Like if they just get embarrassed against Detroit, it could be as high as 50/50. And no I don't care about what they've done in the past because every situation is unique. Who would become the coach? Lazor?
  9. If Nagy continues to crap the bed, do we have any confidence he’d be fired midseason?
  10. Urban Meyer intentionally trying to cozy up to women at bars to get out of Jacksonville if that video on social media is what it appears?
  11. Nagy said it’s a game-time decision
  12. The reasoning is that we know Nagy is the problem because Lazor was incredibly successful with the same players. Reasoning isn’t wrong. I actually don't want to get too much into the debate of it. Because I think its very likely Lazor will be a better play caller than Nagy if given the chance. But also if yesterday is any indication, that alone is very very far from sufficient. A new GM and coach is needed. But Lazor is sufficient to keep Fields from getting killed and hurting his development.
  13. The end game is correct but the reasoning is wrong. The reasoning is that we know Nagy is the problem because Lazor was incredibly successful with the same players. Reasoning isn’t wrong.
  14. Under Lazor, the Bears had four 30+ point games in a row, a Bears record. Give Lazor the play calling.
  15. The Internationals had that same team and lost in 2019. The International team is formidable, but I don’t see them winning on US soil in 2022. Oh the US will be favored, as they should be, assuming this rough core is the same and healthy. But being able to add some of the other international guys I mentioned above to the Euros (sure I am forgetting a guy or three) certainly helps their team and I’d expect a more competitive event. The Euros by themselves aren’t that strong right now and have guys not fulfilling promises on the young side (Hatton, Fleetwood, Fitzpatrick, Pieters, Wallace, etc), Rory kinda stalling out the last few years and also have guys aging out (Poulter, Sergio, Casey, Westwood from this team and Rose and Stenson not even making it). 1 year is a long time from now too for the US, DJ isn’t that young anymore, Koepka and Cantlay have had injury issues and aren’t that young, Bryson may do some dumb Bryson stuff, Spieth is high variance, etc. I’d expect Burns and Zalatoris to be on the team next time, maybe Homa and maybe Wolff and Rickie if they figure things out, which it seems like they’re on the right track. But yeah, they certainly still have the best players and younger core with JT, Scheffler, Finau, Morikawa, Xander, Berger. DJ is old, fine. He just went 5-0 and is the #2 ranked player in the world.
  16. I was out there yesterday and it was awesome. What a horsefeathering ass kicking by the USA. The Euros don’t really have a chance to beat this USA team for a while on talent alone. Next President’s Cup should be good though since that’s US vs The World and The world gets to add the likes of Ancer, Niemann, Im, Cam Smith, Louis, Hideki, Ortiz, etc. The Internationals had that same team and lost in 2019. The International team is formidable, but I don’t see them winning on US soil in 2022.
  17. Maybe if talent = arm only. Cutler has a better arm, but Fields has shown better in literally every other aspect of quarterbacking than Cutler and he runs a 4.4. 5-star recruit, 2nd rated HS football recruit to Trevor Lawrence, who he beat in a Nike camp for MVP, and in the national playoffs last year. Trevor Lawrence was seen on the Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning level of QB prospects and Justin Fields was better than him every time they were on the same field. Watch Nagy completely mess him up in record time
  18. The Bears haven’t ever fired a coach midseason and I don’t expect that to change. I wouldn’t normally say a coach has to give up playcalling duties after one horrible game with a rookie QB and a terrible line, but we all know that this offense would be better off with Lazor. But if Nagy won’t give up playcalling, can him.
  19. Well this comment surely won't end up looking stupid. The US led big after the first session in France in 2018 and got blown out. I didn't see a blowout this big happening. This might be the last ride for a number of European horses and there's not nearly the kind of young up-and-comers that the US has. I see the Americans dominating for years.
  20. Pace/Nagys management of the roster has been horsefeathering terrible. Imagine having just Leno over anyone of Graham/Foles/Dalton Until today, Peters was an upgrade over Leno. Graham led the Bears in TD catches last year and was great in the red zone.
  21. His best tackle last week was on his own player
  22. I’ve seen worse. The Bears have Fields and that’s more than they’ve ever had.
