  1. Verlander went 8 shutout on 2 hits....they just walked Cabrera to get to Fielder after Jackson led off with a triple. Sac fly 2-0. Really good game... I think I'd like to see a lot of Tigers games this year. Usually try to catch Verlander but I want to see their lineup now. It's sooo slooooow after Jackson but that matters not.
  2. COMPLETELY forgot that DeJesus has a top 5 players wife. Damn she's hot.
  3. Dammit Soriano. I like angry Soriano but not when he's trying to steal 3rd.
  4. Hey that could be worse. Ian Desmond is not an impressive defender from what I'm seeing. He does sound familiar thou so maybe he hits?
  5. Lol the 7th inning and Verlander is just looking better. That curveball is the bringer of doom.
  6. Right with you...almost posted that he's the reason I can't hate LaHair being the 1B right now. The guy is terrible.
  7. Still can baaaareeeely tolerate Dempster's walks. Guys a good pitcher but man does it get tedious during his starts. Back to Verlander it is.
  8. Swear that breaking ball was a 3 on the 1-10 scale for Strasburg.
  9. By far the best thing about opening day is the aces are on the mound...Lots of zeroes around the league. Was Strasb even trying on that breaking ball? Filf.
  10. I flip the channel for a minute and boom 2 outs. Oretty sure the Nats had one strike when I flipped...
  11. Cabrera showing off his defensive prowess by tripping fielding a pop up then crapping his pants on a line drive. This season he will bring the lawlz at 3B.
  12. Is it just me or is Soriano looking lively? He looked angry at that fly ball, but good angry. #openingdayoptimism
  13. One day can the Cubs throw out a Verlander-esque talent on Opening Day? That would be nice.
  14. That as first thought. Second was that Bill Murray has done more than enough to make me a fan. This can only be icing on the cake. F'er likes to have fun.
  15. Personally that post is nowhere near as dumb as the NFL getting all sanctimonious or pretending the Saints are any worse than the many, many other teams who've probably done similar things. The WWE was brought up because I always do that with the NFL....I just think its a horrible, albeit entertaining sport/league. I'm going to duck out of this one now. Don't want to have another caraaaaaazzzyyy meltdown. I really couldn't give two craps about this Saints situation anyway...The NFL should be embracing its scumbags with open arms as far as I'm concerned.
  16. So far: Verlander is still a ridiculous talent. Delmon Young is going to be the fattest Tiger. Johan is still savvy.
  17. Patrice O'Neak did a GREAT football but during Elephant in the Room...had me howling good...I'll link ASAP: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCQQtwIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DB25ywedwU04&ei=Hth9T-GcCI-x0AHVirGQDA&usg=AFQjCNHXosMWkXKs_y9aZkfqV6upP8l1dg Too lazy to shorten it blame the phone. Fuckin one of the funniest bits in that special...right with the Vander Slooth murders/white women bit. Lettin him out here with killas!
  18. The NFL has just done a great job brainwashing people. Be outraged! Herp, OK, derp. I'm amazed that this thing is as big as it is...I HATE when the NFL pretends it is anything less than a shady, dirt baggy league. The WWE doesn't acknowledge it's level of scum, but they also don't hide from it from what I remember.
  19. no no, it's just the Saints. They have no souls or something. It's just the Saints being this blatant and stupid about it. That's what Nfl wants you to think maaaaan.
  20. That was the last thing I was expecting when I clicked. Damn. +1 On the outside he had it all. Lined up to go to a top notch baseball program that happens to be a really good school. Makes you wonder what was involved that had him so off balance like that.
  21. Staley is a good T so I assume Davis is the odd man out at T? Rachal sucks so maybe he goes to G, Staley to RT, and Martin at LT?
  22. I'd prefer to keep Garza unless the prospects coming back are blue-chip. Soto and Wells might be able to warrant a good prospect or two. Definitely agree on Garza and Soto, both of whom have real value. The other 3 are just worth whatever a team looking to fill a hole is willing to give up. However, I don't know how many "blue chip" prospects Garza is going to bring in. Thinking back a few months, when people were asking for Turner, Castelannos, and one of Smyley or Crosby, I'll admit I was sucked in, but in reality, something more like Drabek, Alvarez, and Snider from Toronto sounds more realistic. Maybe replace Snider with Gose if the Jays were desperate, and even then we might end up tossing in a minor piece. As for Soto, I still think TB , who are still in the hunt for a starting carcher would be the perfect spot, although their once plentiful farm isn't what it once was. I wonder if Soto and Byrd for Upton would be a possibility. Would pass on that Jays deal ten times out of ten. Would also gladly take eithe Upton brother...BJ is underrated as all heck too....one of the best defensive CFs out there and his bat probably would welcome leaving the Tropdump.
  23. This. Only now are they producing bats that make it...started with Soto. They need to find the magic (picking 5 and 2) that helped land them two of the most talented arms in recent memory. Then they need to make sure those arms actually last for more than one dynamic season.
