That's too bad, but if he demanded a one year deal, it's probably for the best we didn't have the highest offer. You don't want to delay Montgomery getting a starter's workload another year AND have to fill three rotation spots next offseason. I would've been happy with Ross if there was a second year or option thrown in, but not on a one year deal. Now, you might as well try to beef up the bullpen a bit more, as right now both Smith and Duensing have a spot. And obviously trade for a starter with options; I kind of have my eye on Cessa from the Yankees.
