  1. If you're gonna take Lester out, you really shouldn't have had Ross hit.
  2. This is why no network wants your team in primetime unless they're playing the Cubs, Bill Plaschke.
  3. I worry about Lester's health going back out to pitch after that 1 hour delay
  4. Aaaaand Pedro Baez has officially made me bored...in a postseason game the Cubs are winning by 2
  5. I didn't mind that squeeze, as this is a pretty bad matchup for Javy. But great adjustment by his 2016 version to at least make contact.
  6. Bryant will cement his status as National League Mike Trout this series.
  7. Why were Bears highlights playing behind Buck on the jumbotron during the opening? Let's keep their stink away from this series.
  8. I was definitely more nervous about the DS. Part of it of course due to 7 games vs 5, but I was also pretty terrified of Cueto and Madbum. For this series, I just don't think we'll see a super dominant Kershaw given how much he's been used lately.
  9. Is that the first time we've seen what goes on in the party room?
  10. Kenta Maeda is pretty darn tough on righties, especially looking at the peripherals. But man, I'd still be tempted to start Soler tomorrow to take advantage of that wind, as there isn't a wind strong enough to help Heyward.
  11. I still can't believe that. One day of rest after a 110 pitch start, which was also a start made on short rest. All coming back from a rather serious injury. Kershaw is obviously the best pitcher on the planet, but not under those conditions. That's even leaving aside the injury risk. Hopefully all of this tires him out for his next start. AND they still had a really good reliever in Baez available
  12. This is such a terrible move by Roberts, I don't care about the outcome.
  13. Enough with the emergency catchers, Harold.
  14. And I'm starting to talk myself into being OK with the Dodgers. I think having Maddon would be huge and he could manage his way to a few wins alone by smart usage of his lefties.
  15. This made me laugh out loud [tweet] [/tweet]
  16. He ran through a stop sign, right? RIGHT?
  17. Urias just balked multiple ways in that single pickoff of Harper.
  18. We getting Vasgersian and Smoltz again for the NLCS? Does Buck only do the World Series now?
  19. While we're on the topic of next year, is everyone still pretty sure Chapman is just a rental? I don't know what the financial situation looks like, but if we had to pick between extending Chapman or Fowler, I'd probably choose Chapman. I know he's really icky and just recently blew a big save, but god dang do I feel way more comfortable watching games knowing he's lurking in the 9th. I'm also really intrigued by Almora.
  20. Looks like the wind will be howling out on Sat. Wouldn't mind sitting Heyward in favor of Willy or Soler, even if it's against a solid righty like Maeda or Roark.
  21. Well darn, I really liked that new camera angle. The strike zone was a heck of a lot easier to judge.
  22. [expletive], Javy Baez. I mean Schwarber's injury still sucks, but it allowed Javy to get a bunch of AB's and now he's turning into a superstar right in front of our eyes.
  23. Never bunt, hit ding.... Actually Heyward can go ahead and bunt
  24. How am I supposed to enjoy next year's 110 win team if we lose this series
