    Baez is tied with Kinsler for the MLB lead in defensive runs saved among second basemen. They're both at 12. Ian Kinsler has played over 1200 innings at 2B this year Javy has played under 400 and doesn't even show up when you filter the page by "qualified" players. LOL.

    I'm not gonna pretend to know a lot about the guy, but I have to believe there's gonna be multiple AL teams willing to promise him DH AB's vs righties. I can't imagine Maddon would be allowed to play him in the outfield.

    Judging by their usage since Almora's recall, AA appears to be higher on the depth chart. Though Szczur is faster if they're thinking of using him exclusively as a pinch runner.

    I still think Javy will start nearly every postseason game, no matter how nasty the opposing right-handed pitcher is. Like Len said, he'll be in there with Lester, and Hendricks and Arrieta are groundball machines. Plus, a "minor" injury for Soler will probably keep him out until next May.
