    I wouldn't push the reset button on this game if given the chance. I hadn't taken a real good look at the April schedule before today, but holy hell, we never stood a chance to get off to a good start. I'll take the day Rizzo and especially Castro had.

    Yeah he's looking pretty good with that one. He also never liked Brett Jackson; I'm not sure he ever had him as a top 100 prospect which seemed pretty crazy.

    Christian Villanueva's been intentionally walked twice today to get to Brett Jackson who is 0-4 with 2 K's.

    I haven't been able to watch the last few games, but that's the first hard hit ball I've seen Starlin hit this year. That was pretty. I like him attacking hittable pitches early.

    He's only been caught stealing 36 times in 8 seasons(139 steals), so it doesn't seem like it's a normal occurrence…but if he keeps this up he may double that in April. In 2012 he had 30 steals and was caught 3 times. Pickoffs don't count as Caught Stealings pretty sure they do I think they only count as CS when a guy gets in a rundown and makes a move towards 2nd.

    That's a pretty smart lineup considering the splits of Morton last year.

    Yeah the Kottaras move is baffling. He wasn't released just to make room on the 40 man when they'll need to add another catcher anyway. He or his dog must have pissed someone off.

    And apparently Andrus has a sore right arm, though I don't think it's supposed to be serious. Seems like they could definitely use Barney. I doubt they bring up Odor, and I don't see many internal options for them. They might be a little gun shy about dealing with Theo again after the last 2 trade deadline deals we've made with them. Especially after their GM pretty much admitted to being short sighted and getting taken advantage of in the Garza deal. If they need middle infield help, Daniels probably has enough confidence in himself to make a deal work.

    I wasn't expecting Cabrera to make the roster, but it looks like he will. My guess is we'll need to open up two 40 man spots for Bonifacio and one of Kalish/McDonald/Roberts for the bench. We won't be losing Cabrera. James McDonald is toast, so that leaves one more spot. If Olt makes the roster and Barney isn't traded by opening day, I think Murphy could be in trouble, even with his major league contract. A bench of Kottaras, Bonifacio, Barney, Kalish, and Lake with Olt at 3B, Valbuena at 2B, and Ruggiano in LF is what I'd like to see.

    Without checking the stats again, I think he finished strong. His velocity was also consistently mid-upper 90s the last few months.

    Hopefully that's what they go with. I'll be disappointed if Rusin starts and Villanueva forces Grimm to the minors. Though Rondon would probably go to Iowa before Grimm in that scenario.
