I gotta figure they want him to cut down the K a bit more before he gets promoted. ya, no. He's destroying AA pitching, why would they want him to change his approach? Look as long as he'd playing good defense in CF and OPSing close to .900 why mess with success? Because he's just like Brett [expletive] Jackson? Who hit .260 in AA. In his defense, he put up a .276/.366/.465/.831 line his first go-around in AA. He's clearly not as good as Bryant, but I think a lot of people are forgetting how good he was at his peak as a prospect and how he was also supposed to be the type of player who could be good despite a high K rate. He also struck out less at that level than Bryant is now and pitchers had their way with him at higher levels. The moral is it's at least a little concerning how much Bryant K's; that is all. Dudes generally don't strike out at a ~28% clip at AA and turn out to be stars unless they're Giancarlo Stanton. Fortunately, both Javy and Bryant might be the most similar things to Giancarlo in the minors.
