    I think the FO will go hard after Lester. Yeah, it goes against what they believe in by betting a lot of money on a pitcher post 30, but I still think it happens. They also don't seem like the type of people to spend big just because there's no other position to spend the money on, but I think this will be the exception. Theo also loves anything Red Sox. Castillo is the only free agent position player between now and opening day 2015 I see them willing to go $10 million on (in AAV or total). The bullpen is good; they could literally do nothing to it and it'd be fine next year. The lineup will mostly be set by this September, and you add a monster to it again in May. Lester, Arrieta, Hendricks then Turner/Wood/Straily/Wada battle it out for the other spots in the spring. I'm assuming we trade Jaxon in the offseason and eat most of the salary.

    And depending on Straily's velocity, I think Wada might be better than everyone you named except Hendricks.

    So it looks like we're getting the Tennessee adjustment period instead of the Iowa one. Low avg but have a bajillion slugging %.

    Is it really necessary to tape halfway up your arm? Both Baez and Starlin use a whole roll of tape on each arm.

    He hasn't faced great pitching by any means, but I'm enjoying all of this contact after a promotion.

    That's, like, not a bad team right there. I figured Coghlan would move to 5 and Alcantara would stay at the top, but that's fine. I'm also guessing Ricky strongly believes in protection which I'm okay with this time as it gives us more Javy AB's.

    This Rockies broadcast is really pushing this batting avg with RISP stuff. I don't like it.

    Part of it is that even though UZR is telling me differently, I still think of him as this rangy guy I'd like to keep up the middle. Also, part of his problem is sometimes holding onto the ball too long. Moving to 2B would help that whereas 3B wouldn't.

    The way the FO talks about Bryant at 3rd makes me feel pretty confident he's destined for the OF. They were pretty adamant Baez could've remained at SS, but whenever they talk about Bryant, it's always a work in progress and they admit the height really limits him. And yeah, unless Baez looks ridiculously good at 2B, it wouldn't surprise me if he still ends up at 3B. I just can't picture Starlin at 3B.
