    I can't believe Gausman's K rate is as low as it is. I'm sure it will go up after today.

    I agree. I'd prefer Ethier because (somehow) he's passable in CF.

    Yeah I kinda felt bad for the Giants on Tuesday, but wanting a forfeit when the Cubs were both winning and asking that the game be suspended themselves is some bull [expletive].

    Not really. It's been like two weeks. It's going to take quite a bit longer for him to adjust to the majors.

    Wheeler is electric, but he's one injury away from setting the franchise back a bit after losing Castro. I think it makes sense for both sides to fill their holes through free agency. There are plenty of starting pitchers and shorstops available for only money this winter. Lester, Scherzer, Shields, Liriano, Maeda, etc for us and Hardy, Lowry, Hanley for them. Makes more sense for each organization than giving up Starlin and Wheeler.

    The Mets broadcast showed the pictures of the three guys due up and had Brett Jackson's face above Alcantara's name. With the way he's hit lately, that is about accurate.

    Holy [expletive]. Nice job to lay off the first pitch slider, and the others appeared to be pretty easy takes.

    Thought for sure Javy was going to hit a sac fly and go a few weeks with a lower obp than batting avg.

    I really wish we knew just how good Almora is defensively because that's where his value will be. I think I'd slightly favor McKinney, but he does have a BABIP in the 390s as a Cub.

    I want Starlin to be especially good this series because the Mets announcers like to bash him. Good start.

    Wheeler is filthy, Alcantara has been struggling, and with his speed, a sac bunt can turn into a hit. I don't hate it.

    Turner's fastball has a lot of movement, especially after watching jxn.

    Javy wasn't impressed with this Cubs pitcher, whoever he was.

    I don't get why Coghlan immediately turns into Adam Dunn when he goes out to play defense. Like he's really not that slow on the bases.

    I really do love Castro. That was a quick bat on a high 2 strike fastball.

    Estrada has given up 28 homeruns this season. Holy [expletive]. I think Javy took him deep in spring training.

    So I just got home and checked gameday to see how we've scored. Before looking at the box score, I looked at the home hits dots and totally knew who hit that homer before clicking on it considering how far the dot was beyond the wall.

    Fortunately he hasn't had very many lately. I assume Sweeney is nursing some sort of injury because he hasn't started lately and was hitting pretty well before that.
