  1. I feel like his defense will hurt as much as his offense help I like him now that we're back at Wrigley. Those NL West parks don't suit him very well.
  2. Velocity looks fine, cutter is sharp. Just poor command and hits falling.
  3. If La Stella needs to go to the DL, I could see him being called up on the 17th. Otherwise I'd guess in Pittsburgh, the series after the Pads.
  4. lol, yeah. This game was really pissing me off through 8.2 innings.
  5. I mean it's Coors, so a one run lead is nothing, but I have complete faith in Rondon. Like I'm not even all that nervous.
  6. Yep. Killing the ball and hasn't struck out in his first 19 plate appearances.
  7. That was kinda weird. I know we have a short bench today, but Szczur or Castillo should be PHing in the 7th inning.
  8. Oh come on. It's one game at Coors where only a couple of balls were hit hard, one of which should have been caught to save three runs with a real left fielder.
  9. Ugh, how do we not at least tie it there
  10. Plus that Addison Russell guy is pretty good.
  11. Russell just homered. Almora has a double and a walk already as well.
  12. I'm not sure we want a dong fight without Bryant or Baez against the Rockies. Agreed on Olt though.
  13. I think I'd rather have 37 year old Kerry start this game instead of Travis at Coors.
  14. True or False? Starlin Castro will be a Cub on opening day 2016. I still say true because Bryant ends up in LF.
  15. Had to be a desperation move to get more time to help accommodate the facility inadequacies they faced on opening night. I'm sure they've all played in colder weather, this really is a joke of a postponement. Yeah, it has that feeling. They had the off day yesterday, so you'd think they'd be more prepared, but cancelling six hours before the scheduled first pitch due to a forecast of 40 degrees and a slight chance of rain seems sketchy. I also haven't seen the 'sub-freezing wind chills' forecasted anywhere.
  16. Just looking at weather.com, this seems like a weak postponement. We should also skip Wood's turn now, especially in Coors.
  17. I really don't want to trade Starlin anyway, but the Padres are a bad match. Ross was my first thought, but he's not under enough team control compared to Castro; plus, the amount of sliders he throws worries me. Cashner gets hurt too much. Hedges can't hit, and Renfroe's numbers are being propped up by the California League.
  18. Schilling will give some good analysis at times, I'll give him that.
  19. I'm still not sure he's seen anything. lol
  20. Ross did throw the first runner out and if not for the wind, may have homered his first AB. I'm far from his biggest fan, but let's not go too far with the Ross hate.
  21. Other than Olt, the Cubs have done a good job laying off the low curve. Hopefully Wainwright hangs one, knowing he has to bring it up a little.
  22. No, no, no, no, no, ESPN, we're not going to turn Coghlan's inability to catch a fly ball in medium depth LF as an opportunity to bash Castro.
