He didn't break the law, he didn't (to my knowledge) break his contracts with his sponsors, he didn't cheat at golf.....what's to apologize for? You said the media was responding to the corporations were responding to the public demanding an apology. The duty of corporations and the media is to serve the best interest of the public. If an apology is what the public wants, an apology is what they'll demand. Just because you think something's stupid doesn't mean it is. Why do YOU feel he'd have to hold a press conference to apologize for cheating at golf? Why would we have to hold a press conference to apologize for breaking a contract with Accenture? Why would he have to hold a press conference for breaking the law?
