  1. Sounds like the logic of why Dempster was moved to the rotation in the first place. And why Marshall was put in the pen this year.
  2. I wouldn't say the Cubs being a game behind the Reds after 14 games really proved you right. The Reds aren't good.
  3. 84.5 during the 1st week of the tournament
  4. That's when all of Soriano's money is finally off the books and we're not tied down (theoretically, anyway) by any albatross contracts. If you subtract Soriano's contract, we still have the highest payroll in the division.
  5. A trade including Silva of Gorz isn't getting you anything in return.
  6. Trading a SP (unless you can dump Z's contract) might be a worse idea than acquiring a SP. You expect Gorz and Fat [expletive] Silva to hold up for an entire year?
  7. Yeah, kind of shows how silly it would be to allow injured players to serve their suspensions while they are hurt. Honest queston here, where does Mark Prior fall in this. Can he juice now to get healthy and get a new contract? If so, what the hell is he waiting for? I don't think there's a pill/injection that can magically make Mark Prior stay healthy.
  8. There's no limit to the # of guys you can have on the 15 day DL. (Yeah I know if you had 16 guys on it, you'd only have 24 on your active roster) Players placed on the 60 day DL don't count towards 40 man roster totals.
  9. Can you serve a suspension while on the DL? I assume Volquez is on the 60 day DL, which would leave him a few days shy of being able to be "activated"
  10. And Rondo's defense is really good. I know you guys hate him, but Rondo's better than Rose right now. I'd probably put him 2nd behind DWill
  11. I'm biased, but I dont' think it's particularly close between Williams and Rose right now. Even if we're not considering defense, I'd take Williams. Going forward, I can see arguments for Rose.
  12. I swear the Mets win every game you go to. Should've stopped after Victor Diaz
  13. Kidd isn't even better than Rose
  14. Yes, you [expletive] moron sideline reporter, this was the proudest win of Deron's career. A 1st round NBA playoff game 5 years into his career.
  15. Joakim Noah is awesome. Not one of my finer moments when I ridiculed that draft selection, although 95% of Bulls fans hated that pick. He's the man. Yep, I'm stunned at how he's turned out. I laughed my ass off at that pick.
  16. Rose isn't close to a top 5 point guard???
  17. What are you basing this on? The Jazz were awful the year before Deron got there. Nevermind, Kyle Korver and Kousta [expletive] Koufos are making the difference here.
  18. 1. Paul 2. Nash 3. Deron 4. Rondo 5. Kidd I could see Curry rising into the top five next season, Collison is intriguing with his 19 pts 9 assists as a starter this year in replace of Paul, Rose has already been mentioned and Westbrook could develop further and join the conversation. So you took the assist leaderboard but gave Paul injury credit so you moved him ahead of Nash.
