  1. Local band. "Hey there Delilah" Plain White Ts
  2. I mean I'd be thankful that we're getting to the Brewers pen, but it was friggin Dave Bush, so what's the difference?
  3. Yay!!! Now Colvin can come strike out, but that's okay!!
  4. McGehee wasn't even a good bet to be a bench player.
  5. But McGehee never should have been rostered to begin with, which would've left him open to Rule 5 last offseason.
  6. Casey McGehee sucks No Aaron Miles sucks, but we had room for him on our team last year. Well you can get pissed about everyone that was let go within the past year then, because they were likely more useful that Miles too
  7. I just dropped him. For what?? Catcher is so thin this year, I can't imagine anyone of value being on waivers
  8. I'd prefer as many early entrants as possible so DMac will stay
  9. Best guess is if you type his full name it won't show up due to a tilde on the n
  10. Well, I'd rather listen to Jay Williams than Cowherd.
  11. He doubled and scored the only run of the game literally a half hour ago.
  12. Well being an power threat is also under the control of the batter, so in a roundabout way, you can say the pitcher pitching around you/being careful is under the batter's control
  13. The batter has the final control on whether a pitch is called a ball or a strike. A pitcher can throw the exact same sequence of pitches to 2 batters, and one will walk and the other Ks.
  14. And Jay Williams is ruining my life by being on ESPN.
  15. Didn't Jayson Williams win some sort of Mr. Nice guy award one year? Just saying. Rose might be a murderer.
  16. I didn't bring up Rose's intelligence, somebody else said he was too smart to crash a motorcycle and end his career. I'm well aware that it has nothing to do with on-court performance, one of the reasons Garnett went pro out of high school was because he couldn't qualify.
  17. Or he may not have shown up to take the test. Like I said, Rose isn't stupid. A. that seems like a stupid thing to do. B. According to the report, Rose took the ACT exam three times in the Chicago area and did not meet a qualifying score. C. This is a really pointless topic to be arguing over, I just don't see the need to defend Rose's fraudulent/non-qualifying test scores.
  18. Or maybe Rose just got a 0
  19. How would one fail an ACT? You are just given a number. I assume they're using "fail" as shorthand for failed to get necessary score to be admitted to a college. "Failing" for one player is differerent than "failing" by another depending on what their high school GPAs were. So hypothetically, (I don't know their admission guidelines) an applicant to Harvard, who scored a 30, failed the ACT? Well, there's no written standard for test scores for non-athletes. The NCAA requires (through a combination of GPA and ACT/SAT scores) a certain minimum standard to be met.

  21. I've read this multiple times and still don't understand what you're trying to say. You and me both.
