What I am trying to say is Rose is by far the best athlete ever to play the point guard spot. His assists are down because he plays on a bad team with a bunch of lousy jump shooters. I'm a Deron Williams mark and were I running the Jazz I would trade Deron Williams and my top pick for Rose. Considering where the Jazz could be picking, that's madness. You'd trade Deron Williams and a shot at Evan Turner/John Wall for Rose????

It's a pretty big stretch to give Paxson credit for drafting Aldridge. Thomas was who he wanted, but he knew he can get something extra by taking Aldridge and dealing him for Thomas.

I don't really remember. What happened in '99 in the NBA? I'm not sure. I want to say the lockout didn't officially start til after the draft, though it was pretty much expected. Yep, draft took place 1 week before the lockout began. How bout the NHL, they had a full season, which I imagine must've included the normal time of the draft.

I can't recall, what have sports done in the past during lockouts/strikes with regards to their drafts? Do they just not hold them until the dispute is resolved and then rush through them once it's over?

Can somebody explain the logic that the stars deserve to be officiated differently than everyone else?

Not sure, I do know that even if there is not a lockout most feel that the draft picks will be the ones who feel the money change the most. I think the rookie pay cut will be pretty huge. Considering 2nd round money isn't guaranteed, it shouldn't affect him there.

McCamey would be a legit NPOTY contender next year. That kind of hype helps a lot. As far as what he can improve on, he can show a lot more on defense and can still improve both his PG skills and scoring. He's got a lot to gain by coming back. Trying to remove my own vested interest from the situation, I think it'd be dumb not to come back without a 1st round guarantee

Wait, wait, wait...you clearly recognize that it's only 3 games back only 2 weeks into the season. Yes. My point is that we are three games back and the season is only two weeks old and I don't have much faith in our team. I'm saying that I think there is a good chance that we will end up way out of first place. if you thought that there was any way we finished better than 3rd in the division, you were deluding yourself to begin with Who else in the division is better than us?
