  1. What? I'm saying it's somewhat shaky to assume the reporter's story is based on reliable information. Flames is saying that can't possibly be true, Derrick Rose is a genius
  2. There's so much bad reporting out there, it's hard to sort the bad from the good at this point. I don't know why a Cavs beat reporter would have more information on Derrick Rose's "preferences" than any Chicago writer. Ultimately though, it doesn't matter what Rose wants or thinks. Well Flames isn't a Chicago writer.
  3. I don't think BABIP within the confines of a single game is worth much of anything.
  4. I don't doubt it for a second. Why would a point guard whose game is based on driving to the basket want to give up that to have the offense run through someone else? LeBron and Rose are not a good fit. Becuase it's bad news for the Bulls, that's why it's not trustworthy. Haven't you been paying attention the last 90 pages or so? Yeah, we should totally believe the opinion of a Cavs beat reporter. He, unlike us, is completely unbiased. He doesn't want all the work that goes along with covering a Lebron James anyway. At least one can make the (somewhat shaky) assumption that the reporter's story is based on something tangible other than fandom.

  6. I never really looked at that side of it. That would be delightful. Well that seems mean-spirited
  7. Perkins is probably a midseason return.
  8. Can everyone please stop talking about him being MVP
  9. Isn't McCann a much better defender where as Soto is a bit below avg? Also Soto went on a big slump where he was batting .150 over an extended period. Plus he's on a terrible team. I don't think I agree with either of those defensive assessments. I don't understany why Geovany having a slump should matter. Every player slumps
  10. Where do you have the Celtics?
  11. New York New York is a classic. Shipping up to Boston kicks expletive. No offense to Steve Goodman (RIP and stuff) but Go Cubs Go is not a classic and it does not kick expletive. If you have to play a song, it should not make you more of a laughingstock. In retrospect, this team should've been dismantled immediately after the 08 playoffs. Its championship window was slammed shut that day. Wasn't the OPs argument, he said it was bush league to play a song to celebrate a win. And it'd be really [expletive] stupid to blow up a team that won 98 games because they sucked in the playoffs. The OP also said you don't see the Yankees, Red Sox, or Braves doing it. Apparently he was mistaken. And normally, you'd be right about dismantling a 98 win team. All I remember is feeling like I got hit by a truck and wondering what the [expletive] was the point of having a really good team if they were just going to get [expletive]-slapped in the playoffs every year. I can't even imagine what the players felt like. We're allowed to feel like that cause we're fans. I don't want our front office acting in such a reactive manner.

  13. YOU HAVE TO SEND A MESSAGE THAT YOU CARE!!
  14. Fat [expletive] Silva probably deserved it more
  15. It might be true. Cleveland's roster is as good as it's going to get right now. Their cap situation is pretty grim over the next few years, so there's not much room for improvement. LeBron should know this, too. obviously there are no guarantees, but really, if he goes back to cleveland, winning won't be the primary reason, right? i mean, if he didnt have ties to cleveland, would they even be in the discussion anymore? that being said, i still think he resigns with the cavs. He's consistently won 60 games in Cleveland, which is in any given year good enough to contend for a championship. But no, the Bulls are the only path to the one true championship.
  16. I'm with you regular bad just isn't enough with the cubs. We need crazy bad for Ricketts to clean house. I really think almost everyone scouts on up needs to be fired. Keep Wilkens, Jaramillo, Sandberg, maybe a few others and let everyone else go. This organization does a lot of things the wrong ways from top to bottom and this is the perfect opportunity to fix it. Also we need to get rid of that stupid go cubs go song. Its bush league. Any team that needs to play a song for the fans to sing after a win is a team that isn't used to winning often. You don't see the Red Sox, Braves, or Yankees doing this. The Yankees play New York New York after every win, I believe the Red Sox play (or least used to play) Shipping up to Boston after every win and the Braves play the tomahawk chop every 20 [expletive] seconds.
  17. Wade just left that office ... I saw the video myself. Again Dave Kaplan thinks all black guys are the same. Was probably Lindsey Hunter and Cliff Levingston
  18. You think the Bulls don't know that? I pretty sure the Bulls are using Wade as much as Wade is using the Bulls. Seems like a lot of effort just to get Nate Robinson to sign on the dotted line
  19. I'm writing Tyler Colvin in for first base.
  20. Damn exchange rate
  21. I keep saying he should sign for 1M. The prick. yes, you keep saying it. that's not what I'm saying Excuse me. Lebron should care about winning, but he should still care enough about salary to roughly the amount that he would fit under the cap with Chris Bosh for the Bulls.
  22. Deng makes twice as much as those guys And he's twice as good. Then his deal doesn't look better.
  23. Deng makes twice as much as those guys
  24. Why don't you?
  25. I must has missed something but, why the F**K!!!!!!!! does Lou keep playing Hill? Team having trouble scoring runs -check. You have a catcher who can actually hit - check. Play the one who can't hit - ahhhh, check? Unless I missed it, I wish some reporter would get the balls to ask Lou this question. Haha question Lou? Nobody in the Chicago media has the balls to question Lou on anything they are all terrified of him. The media that cover the Cubs give Lou a free pass. No, they'll ask him but he'll get all flustered and throw up his hands and say, "What can I do!?" Then they'll back off. LOOK SIR!! I'm trying to win games here!!! If we're not gonna score the runs then we have to stop them from scoring!! I have 2 good catchers back there and I'm gonna play them both. Yesterday Soto played, today Hill. And and and and and and and what you want is what? You want Soto out there everyday? Hill's a tough kid and and and and he ran out there for what 20 games in a row last year, and you want him tied to the end of the bench???? I'll tell you, I'll tell you what. When you have your team, you can play one catcher every inning of every game, but I'm not gonna do that!
