  1. If boosters are willing to drop 15M to make him go away, I'm sure they'll come up with some insane number to lure somebody at least as good.
  2. I'd definitely be against handing the job to Contreras. I don't really think there's another option at this juncture(outside of a trade maybe). No way they trust Schwarber to catch 110 games a year, and I'd like to see something beyond one year out of Contreras before trusting him with anything.
  3. Lou Brock struck out at a higher rate in his career than Heyward did last year.
  4. Brandon doesn't know what a giraffe is.
  5. The SEC certainly is not straight up bad, but I think the top halves of all but the ACC are pretty indistinguishable for the Power 5s.
  6. I'm operating under these assumptions. -Bama is the only 2 loss team I could see ahead of UM, and I wouldn't be shocked to see UM ahead of them. -A Big Ten Champ Michigan will be the top ranked Big Ten team. -Oklahoma is the only 1 loss Big 12 team I'm certain would finish ahead of Michigan. Really winning the Big Ten is the toughest part of the equation. Do that, and a Clemson ACC Title(or the incredibly unlikely 2 game losing streak) paired with a Stanford win over ND should do it.
  7. Vogelbach+ is not the right price. Nobody is picking him up with the intention of installing him in their lineup the next season Vogelbach did just put up a .390 wOBA in Double-A. I don't think an ETA of 2017 is out of the question. Having an ETA of 2017 is different than acquiring him with the idea that he can replace Edwin Encarnacion.
  8. Iowa had 2, both on the road. Wisconsin was 19 when they played and Northwestern was 20. Wisconsin has dropped out, but NW is at 17. Nobody cares about where teams were ranked at the team barring injuries tanking a team's season. But yes, Iowa has zero losses and destroyed a higher ranked team on the road. ND has 2 top 25 wins, and their 1 loss is to undefeated #1. MSU has 3, though their 1 loss it to a bad Nebraska team. Oklahoma has 2, though their 1 loss is to a bad Texas team Baylor has 1, with a better loss. OKSt has 1, with a better loss. Stanford has 2, but has 2 top 25 losses to go with it. Of course schedule goes deeper than top 25, but "hey we beat some fringe top 25 teams (and lost to 1)" gets you first place votes and unquestioned status as top 1 loss team? After next week, they'll either have 2 top 25 wins, and 1 loss to an unranked team, or they'll be 1-1 vs. the top 25. At least Ohio State was defending national champion, Bama is just "well they have a lot of talent"
  9. Bama is down to 1 win over an AP ranked team: 1 Clemson(55) 2 Alabama(6) 3 Iowa 4 Notre Dame 5 Oklahoma 6 Michigan State 7 Baylor 8 Ohio State 9 Oklahoma State 10 Florida 11 North Carolina 12 Michigan 13 Stanford 14 Florida State 15 TCU 16 Navy 17 Northwestern 18 Oregon 19 Ole Miss 20 Washington State 21 Houston 22 UCLA 23 Mississippi State 24 Toledo 25 Temple
  10. Vogelbach+ is not the right price. Nobody is picking him up with the intention of installing him in their lineup the next season
  11. I wonder if there's even a single Notre Dame fan in Boston, MA. I bet the turnout was pretty embarrassing.
  12. How is that arrogant? It's an old school barnstorming that allows them to play in other cities for free exposure to recruits across the country. Was it arrogant when Michigan State, Kansas, Kentucky, and Duke basketball played in the United Center last week? And please don't answer.
  13. I feel like this concept gets explained to Derwood on an annual basis.
  14. BT Champ Michigan would have a tough road to hoe. I think an Iowa team who loses to Nebraska next week would be even tougher.
  15. I imagine Oklahoma State jumps to 4 if they beat Baylor. Otherwise, I wonder if they jump MSU over Iowa for the 4 spot. I don't think Oklahoma can really move ahead of either of them (or a winning OK ST)unless they destroy a Boykin-less TCU
  16. And he spelled Howarrd wrong.
  17. haha, I just did the same thing.
  18. That's really inexcusable for BR to screw that up.
  19. Their loss to LSU has gotten comparatively worse the last 2 weeks as well.
  20. And they had tied it on a strip sack in the end zone
  21. FAU is 110 out of 128 FBS teams in Sagarin. They're also ranked lower than 31 FCS teams.
  22. I hope that's why you broke up with her
  23. Gentry was DFAd today so he shouldn't cost much
  24. he's saying not owning a tv would lead to him needing to watch things through streaming If you're going to drop $150-200(I imagine the price will shoot up once streaming is allowed absent a cable subscription) on mlb.tv, why not splurge another $300 to watch it on something bigger than your ipad?
