  1. Seriously Iowa?? We ask so little of you.
  2. http://snltranscripts.jt.org/96/pics/96dbrokaw.jpg "Stunning news from Yorba Linda today, as Richard Nixon's corpse climbed out of his grave and strangled Bob Feller to death." "Bob Feller was eaten by wolves today. He was delicious!" "At the senseless age of 92."
  3. What do you think changes about Marlon's approach when batting 4th compared to 3rd?
  4. We have been playing ACC ball by Big Ten standards this year and last. Much faster than we ever ran under Deron and Dee
  5. The offense will get worse without McCamey, Davis, and Tisdale around, I don't know what kind of response you were expecting. I don't know what your basing the 4 star talent with 3 star PG theory on considering we've never had that under Weber. He's had Deron/Dee Deron/Dee Dee Frazier Frazier Frazier/DMac DMac DMac DMac The only time there's been 4 star+ talent throughout the team there's been a 4 star+ PG. The only times there's been less, there's been a 2 star PG.
  6. By reliable I meant we know what we're getting out of that position - be it good production or bad. My point was that we can gauge expectations more easily at those positions. At the other positions we may get great production or we may get crap production. Barring injury, I have a hard time seeing us getting crap production from the left side of the infield
  7. Still with this [expletive]?
  8. I'm guessing there's some sort of typo on your positions you list as reliable. DeWitt's has a good chance of being our worst hitter.

  10. Maybe my expectations were too high.
  11. What is it about acquiring a guy 3 years away from free agency that says you're not building for the future?
  12. He's a catcher. What do you want Koyie Hill hitting 3rd when he starts??
  13. The Rays are likely to have have 8 of the first 100 picks in next year's draft. I think their management knows what it's doing. I would have to say they dropped the ball this past season by only adding Chad Qualls at the deadline. Maybe if people like you would go to the games, they could afford more than Chad Qualls. What did you want them to add?
  14. Yeah, but you've got no local interest for walk up buying. Can't imagine many TCU grads relocate to LA.
  15. I'm pretty sure you could get tickets to a TCU/Wisconsin Rose Bowl cheaper than $195. When I went out for Illinois/USC, I sold a pair for $150.
  16. Looks like hummer season gets an early start this year
  17. $5 million in 2012 is cheaper than $5 million now. It also would be very advantageous if the team doesn't contend and Pena is traded mid-season. True, a team would only pick up $2.5 mil instead of $5 mil at the deadline. Could net us a better prospect, potentially. Actually wouldn't that be more like picking up 7.5m instead of $5m? Well you can really do whatever you want at the deadline as far as sending money one way or another.
  18. You guys are the type to draft Josh Donaldson in the 5th round.
  19. Because they can afford it even after giving Adrian Gonzalez 160m? So every contract ever signed is a good idea.
  20. Offenses run better with 4 stars than 2 stars.
  21. The Scott Kazmir-Victor Zambrano trade was like 7 years and an awful GM ago.
  22. Contract year. He did well for himself, he was able to fool Hendry into giving him an undeserved 8 year deal. He's been on the decline for 2 years already. Imagine how bad he will be in the future. Contract years are a myth
  23. Probably shouldn't have made Shiancoe a keeper. Celek
  24. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=5900154 Irving out indefinitely. I don't buy the Rat's "He may be out for the year" talk, but I'd imagine he'll at least miss a few conference games. Then Kyrie's toe can become Duhon's rib.
