So louky, what outside of Hendry not giving him a managerial job in '07 would convince you otherwise. No matter what you think of Hendry, it seems outlandish that he decided on a successor manager for Lou while he was hiring him, with that successor being a guy with no experience at just about anything. I don't doubt that Sandberg assumed he was being groomed for the big league job, but that's his fault, not the Cubs organization. If we've learned anything from Hendry over the past 8 years, it's that he's loyal and a players/manager/coaches/etc GM. I'm just not seeing it.
