  1. I'm not really seeing any trades getting done without at least one of the 1st round picks or Gibson going the other way. -I know Memphis wants to dump Mayo, but does James Johnson and CJ Watson really get it done? -I don't see Houston's motivation to dump Lee -JR Smith makes too much money -Ditto Stephen Jackson lol, when screwing around with Celtics-Bulls trades, I came up with Nate Robinson for JJ and Bogans. ESPN's take, both teams get 1 win worse. Sounds about right.
  2. Do they re-seed after the first round? I seem to remember this to be the case, but have heard nobody talk about the possibility when talking matchups.
  3. Stone became insufferable when a bunch of dumb fans fell in love with him because he could make such basic observations as throwing breaking balls low and away when ahead in the count. I don't know if it's the fans faults or his, but it has nothing to do with 2004. Its not like stone just started predicting pitches, bunting situations, outfield alignment, etc toward the end of his tenure. He always did that and the majority of cubs fans did not find him insufferable as a result. I amongst others wondered why stone knew what was going on but our know-nothing managers remained clueless. If anything everyone complained about chip carrey who was indeed pretty bad. The tide changed when Stone spoke his mind in 04. I surely don't remember anyone on this board complaining of Stone before that. This board barely existed before that
  4. I don't see how a deal gets done with Jackson without giving up Gibson
  5. It's a pass on $1 million/1year deal. The Cubs don't have room for a hitter who can't play the field. Why not?
  6. hahaha, no, you'll totally want to be hanging out with me. I won't give you [expletive] at all Are they your 5th or 6th favorite college team NC?
  7. I don't want to be anywhere with anyone if we lose to [expletive] Iowa
  8. It means that techinically, going into the final week, only the #5 seed is actually set for sure on the NFC side. Bears and Eagles could end up anywhere from #1 to #3. Of course, for #1...Falcons would have to lose to Carolina, which would be epic. The 5 side isn't set for sure. It can be New Orleans or Atlanta
  9. -New Orleans clinches playoff spot. -Can win division and homefield advantage with a win next week AND Falcons loss. -Falcons clinch homefield advantage with a win OR New Orleans loss AND Chicago loss AND 1 Philly loss. -Bears clinch homefield advantage with win AND Atlanta loss AND 1 Philly loss AND New Orleans loss. -Eagles clinch homefield advantage with 2 wins AND Chicago loss AND Atlanta loss AND New Orleans loss.
  10. Knives don't break when you throw them.
  11. I didn't realize we sucked that bad. That prediction is sobering. Eh, not really. Pomeroy has us as #24, Iowa at #73.
  12. That would be outstanding
  13. Penn State isn't awful. They're probably about as good as Colorado. I have no earthly idea why with Rivers and Hulls on the court that Verdell Jones is running the point. It'd be bad enough in the middle of the game, but at crunch time, you just know Jones is going to drive and take a terrible shot.
  14. The Bears went into victory formation with 8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Shocking the Eagles outgained them. You're the Ricky Davis of the NFL.
  15. It's not about being fair to Clausen, it's about upgrading one of the 50 other holes on your team rather than going out of your way to marginalize one of the few spots that could be a positive in the near future.
  16. Well they're not going to have as many offensive yards when they have the best return game in the NFL giving them less yards to gain be it through long returns or short punts to avoid said returns
  17. Wasn't it enough that you embarrassed us once at home already?
  18. I cannot believe how quickly Andy has thrown Clausen under the bus. The entire team is garbage, why are you so anxious to replace one of your few players who still has potential.
  19. Dempster probably spent all his money on whoopie cushions, rubber chickens, and fabrege eggs.
  20. I hope we don't lose again like we did last Packer game.
  21. I'll take #6
  22. Then we'll know if we need to try or not by gametime. I believe the Cowboys-Eagles game has been move to 3:15 as well. Well [expletive]. Go Vikings
  23. I'll chalk that up to Australia not having a good feed of the game, but the 5 point differential hardly told the story. All of Philly is laboring under the delusion that that game was actually close. Truffle's from Australia
