  1. Duke is just unbearable to watch
  2. I was wondering about that.
  3. Oh wow, I didn't notice the clock issue at all.
  4. I'm not sure Romar said shoot with 3 seconds on the clock
  5. How [expletive] dumb are Nantz and Kellogg that they don't see the ref signaling 2 on that shot?
  6. That was a 2 anyway
  7. I don't like this timeout at all
  8. I feel like these teams just went about 10 minutes without missing a score on a possesison
  9. I'm kinda of the mind that the refs probably should have swallowed the whistle on the second one. I think you have to understand the consequences of your actions, and essentially giving the game to Butler because Howard was a little obstructed in an attempt to wheel and throw the ball 85 feet doesn't seem very just to me. I think saying a little obstructed is underselling it. His left arm was being held down as he grabbed for the ball to heave. It's not like Brown had a great look from 45 feet when Mack fouled him.
  10. Why would an article saying Philly fans suck appeal to Philly fans?
  11. You could title a post "Australian weather patterns and their effects on constipation," and it wouldn't get as much of a reaction from Truffle as Philadelphia hating.
  12. Lebron's been all over TV imb already used that joke I have him blocked.
  13. Man, how much fun is Brad Stevens
  14. Outrageous
  15. Raftery calls the Morehead coach's daughter crying wonderful.
  16. Florida's never had a player foul out all season? That's outrageous
  17. Lebron's been all over TV
  18. nope, he'll choose mizzou and mizzou fans will get all excited that they finally have a blue-chip 5-star athlete, all the while knowing that they can't get him eligible. Mitchell's just gotta finish up Phonics over the summer and he'll be ready to go.
  19. What are their numbers counting only eligible players?
  20. If Northwestern had beat MSU in the BTT, they'd have garnered the league's auto bid, so then yes, they'd have been in the tournament. ;) Seriously, though, I doubt it would have been enough to get them into the tournament, but if they had held on vs. OSU, they'd have at least been in the same discussion as USC, VCU and UAB. Err Michigan
  21. Was wasting some time on kenpom, and I'm wondering if Northwestern held on vs OSU in the BTT would've put them in the tourney. Considering how highly the Big Ten appeared to be rated by the committee I wouldn't be shocked. How bout if they held on and then beat MSU?
  22. Or maybe it would be fun to somehow have the same 8 teams, but have the last 4 at larges each play the last 4 automatic qualifiers. At least you could have some drama there with tiny schools playing major programs. It probably sucks for these schools to win their conference tournament and then have to play another crappy school no ones heard of before to really "get in" Texas-San Antonio vs. UNC Asheville really doesn't do it for me at all. Texas-SA vs. Clemson might get me to watch to see if the little guy can stay competitive against a major conference team. Just a thought...not my preferred way but another idea. Those 16 seeds would almost never win. Better to guarantee those tiny schools 2 spots in the real tournament than 1 every 8 years.
  23. The motivation is avoiding injury. They think that somehow this will reduce injury. I'm not quite sure how, but that's the justification. b/c a receiving team is less likely to bring a ball out of the end zone if they get it at the 25 on a touch back? seems like you could figure out what the average return yardage is on kicks in or near the end zone and give the receiving team that yardage on a touch back. Fewer kick returns means fewer violent collisions. I assume that's the thinking. Isn't it just going to cause more pop ups/squibs around the 10 yard line, leaving the return man even more prone?
  24. Then the "Fan Up" idiots started chanting, "Refs you suck." On the very next possession, LeBron misses a layup and a phantom foul is called on Perkins. Nothing like chanting that when you probably get more calls to go your way than any other team in the league. Maybe 2nd to the Bulls
