It would be really nice if BJ Young gave it some second thought now and chose Indiana instead but I doubt it. Doesn't Young have academic/discipline issues? I thought IU (and Illinois) backed off him thinking he may not even qualify.

I'm almost to the point of hoping we miss as it might mean Weber will be getting some pressure. I don't think they'll be much difference unless we made a run in the tourney. Obviously these horse [expletive] seniors (except maybe Davis) are never gonna have the light turn on, so that won't be happening. People are pissed, and another disaster next year like this one and I think he's gone. is terminating weber's contract early especially cost prohibitive? I know there will be costs for any early termination, but some schools are better at structuring the contract. (For example, all 5 years of Turner Gill's contract are guaranteed. Yama-hama.) They can afford to, they were the 4th most profitable team in the NCAA last year after UNC, UK, and KU. This isn't about money. This is Guenther refusing to admit he had the choice between the duper model(Matta) and the girl from Precious(Weber). He won't admit he was wrong. That's really easy to say now.

They no longer look at last X games. They finally caught on that unbalanced schedules make the stat absurd. The dumb-ass committee head did say that he valued total # of wins when they interviewed him last weekend, so I won't put any stupidity past them.

I'm sure I'm talking about of my ass, but: better overall record, 9-3 in last 12 games, and head to head win on neutral floor vs. win against UNC, h2h win, better RPI and SOS is that the argument? Last 12 is meaningless. Almost as meaningless as overall record.

You shouldn't care what our RPI says because RPI is flaming dog poop. You should care that we have a better resume than most other bubble teams. Including Michigan

Way too many. It nearly happened in last year Big Ten quarterfinal against Wisconsin too. I'm sure the first round game next Thursday or Friday will follow a similar script. We may be playing Tuesday or Wednesday now

I don't know where they got that # from he's 71% on the year. He did shoot like 45-46 from the line @IL though so he can screw off.
