Wichita State moves to the American Athletic Conference and I'm not sure the Valley will ever recover. The last at-large bid (or seed that was clear at-large worthy) from a non-UNI team in the current conference was Drake in 2008. And even UNI has missed 5 of the last 7 tourneys. Illinois State was the only other team to make any postseason tournament this season.
Was just coming to post this. Happened with 49.1 seconds left (so it was reviewable) and Carolina up 1. It was called a held ball, and I'm not sure that's reviewable.
That was one of the worst "close" college basketball games I've ever watched. Like you said, there was no flow, both teams were bricking awful 3 point attempts. I was relieved when it was over. It was terrible, but at least it was better than Butler/Connecticut.
Gonzaga, Xavier, and South Carolina have never made a Final Four, let alone a title game. Baylor hasn't made a Final Four since 1950. This year was South Carolina's first tourney wins since 1973, and they've never advanced past this round.
I'm pretty sure that was always the plan, he only played major league games because of the WBC, split squad games and for jersey sales. Pros: he can buy his under age teammates beer Cons: he'll probably give them his testimony instead. Sacramental Wine is free.
I wouldn't be shocked Id Arlington gets an at large now they don't deserve it and id fight against it but it just seems like a message pick the committee would try to send
