Point is, if Happ were to stay up, they'd want him playing every day. Almora, Schwarber, and Heyward would also need regular playing time. Sending down LaStella just sends down a guy you don't have to worry about getting reps. Sending down Almora leaves Heyward as the regular CF(or Jay, which defeats the purpose of getting all those guys regular time in the OF)

Schwarber seems like a very real possibility. Can't tell if you're serious or not, so don't mind this if you're not Theo could barely physically contain how badly he wanted to scoff at a reporter who asked whether they'd thought about that like two days ago and mentioned how badly he'd been destroying balls lately and how good his PAs have been. Maddon has been saying the same stuff and all he did since was crush more balls in the past few days. And amble around the OF like a wounded alpaca.

Unless I'm off on the CBA (I'm not great with that on the NBA)They're still owned by the same group that exceeded it in the Big 3 era, I don't anticipate it being an issue. Smart really seems to be the odd man out going forward unless Brown and Fultz are complete busts.

I'm not really expecting a trade of anyone of note until next season at the earliest. Could see them spinning off some backcourt depth like Smart or Rozier.

I can't really see the point of that. I'm also leery of this assumption that Hayward to Boston is a done deal. For better or for worse I think Ainge will want to see all 3 of those Brooklyn picks get drafted before doing anything with them.

Almost as good as having the #3 pick from the Nets, then their #1 pick, then their pick again the next year, then a pick apiece from Memphis and the Clippers down the road, and you just finished 1st in the East.

IMO that understates how comically bad Anderson was at his job. Even with the same cast of characters they were bound to be much better with an actual D1 head coach, and Porter Jr, Tilmon, Robertson(grad transfer), Harris & Roberts is a pretty significant talent infusion. But they hired Cuonzo Martin.

I don't think they make the tournament unless the other Porter reclassifies. This was a laughably bad team last year. Far worse than what Ben Simmons came into at LSU.

They at least had a still pretty damn good Mutumbo. Definitely worse than the Nets though who had Martin and not yet dead Kittles & Van Horn, with Jefferson replacing Van Horn the 2nd year.

The supporting cast nonsense should have been put to bed when LBJ took a starting lineup of himself, Ilgauskas, Drew Gooden, Boobie Gibson, and Sasha Pavlovic to the NBA Finals. It really should've been put to bed when he went 2-3 in the FInals with support from Timofey Mozgov, Tristan Thompson, Dellavedova, and Iman Shumpert. And then he and Kyrie Irving beat the best team in NBA history last year. But, oooh that jerk didn't want to play with Jamario Moon as his #2.
