Are we strictly talking pitchers? Otherwise it should've been locked before it started. Castro hasn't had a season near as good as prior was in '03 He will and he's already come out of the system.

Hitting is down everywhere. The Phillies could very well be that bad offensively all year. The Pirates could very well be far worse all year. The Mariners, despite actually scoring runs to this point, could also be far worse. You seem to be working under the assumption that everyone who is doing badly will continue as they are (Soriano, Byrd, Soto, Stewart, bench), and everyone who is actually doing well will fall off a cliff. There's a simple logical fallacy there if you care to realize it. Well not everyone who is doing badly will continue as they are. People doing badly on other teams will hit like they're supposed to.

You must not be watching a lot of baseball this year. The Pirates have scored half as many runs as the Cubs this year. Ha! Check back in a month and see what it looks like. Yeah, by then the Pirates offense will be awesome! Holy [expletive], what does that post even mean???

I think it'll be at least the offseason before they'd make a move like that. There'll obviously be no rush to make the move around the deadline this year, so why not get a full season out of a guy to evaluate. -

Historically terrible '03 Tigers 1st series win: May 6th 0-21 start Orioles 1st series win: May 22nd '62 Mets: May 16th But yeah, May 23rd. That's probably the most likely date. -

Do you know when the last time the Cubs went an entire April without winning a series? I don't either because I went back through every 90+ loss Cubs team and gave up after getting through 2 100 loss teams that won one. -

Yeah, if you prefer Boston to Indiana, make it because of last year's playoff series, not how the Bulls/Celts played in the regular season.

Minnesota recently blocked 25 schools for someone's who name I can't think of, and Danny Manning at Tulsa is allowing his guard to talk to only 3 schools. Obviously, this is all a PR nightmare. Bo's only had 1 player transfer before (deep bench player, not an expected starter). He went a bit overboard with the list. However, Uthoff hasn't been a saint in all this either. He waited until Bo was on a recruiting trip to tell the program he was leaving, he hasn't talked with anyone about it, Bo offered to fly back to Madison to talk and Uthoff declined, and Uthoff had someone else give his appeal list to the athletic office (the wrong person at that). I'm not gonna defend that this is all going off the deep end, but noone will remember it in 6 months, and barely anyone knew who Uthoff was 6 days ago. It's not Manning who's blocking the Tulsa kid, it's the Tulsa AD. The kid gave him a list of nine schools, and he granted permission for 3. And he's rightfully getting raked over the coals for it, too. Gypsies

Yes, he could do that with Iowa as well. Actually, isn't that what Recker did at Iowa? Or did he transfer to ASU then wound up at Iowa paying his own way? I know there was something screwy with his transfer.

I think they dumped that rule for Ben Brust...who wound up at Wisconsin. Uthoff is only going to have 3 years of college ball wherever he does land (as long as Bo is ok with that) because he was redshirted this year.
