  3. UVA over Duke in one, over Florida in the other. NMSU and Mizzou to sweet 16. South Dakota St, Loyola, and Cuse with 1st round wins. I appreciate that the stream is only 18 seconds behind live TV(at least for TEN/Wright St) so less chance of box score spoilers on top of TV.
  4. New thread so people don't clutter it with Penn State talk. Who ya got?
  5. Leron Black is going pro because horsefeathers everything.
  6. Jordan Walden(and I think somebody else) did that jump off the mound with their back foot, and nobody ever really explained why that was ok.
  7. By bWAR, at least, it’s closer to mid-60s for Sandberg and high-50s for Sosa. By fWAR, the Sandberg trade, once you account for all the players involved, came out as net +59.8. The Sosa trade comes out to +61.3. Bell's -2 fWAR season in '93 puts Sosa just a bit ahead of Ryno in net value. If you extend it, Sosa gets 5.7 more from being traded for Mike Fontenot and Jerry Hairston, plus 0.7 more for Hairston being traded for Phil Nevin.
  8. That's annoying for sure but I was on record even before all of this that I was fine with the NIT as long as horsefeathering Syracuse didn't get yet another horsefeathering gift bid. This wouldn't have helped Notre Dame at all this year but would it be ridiculous to make a team at least go .500 in conference play if they want to make the tournament? Not even over .500, just go 9-9. I don't think that's too much to ask for. That would leave out 5 teams who made it. Bama, ASU, Syracuse, Oklahoma, and Texas. Going by NIT seeding, they'd be replaced by St. Mary's, USC, Utah, Louisville, and Marquette. Requiring over .500 would also eliminate A&M, TCU, Butler, and FSU(along with Marquette and Louisville as replacements) That would open slots for(in addition to SMC, USC, and Utah) MTSU, Oregon, Stanford, Western Kentucky, Boise State, and one of Nebraska or Washington. They really hated Nebraska.
  9. And should we slot Davidson somewhere tomorrow?
  10. I do not like SD St, I’d drop them below Murray at least
  11. I’m not saying they belong but OK St and ASU have ridiculous wins
  12. What's the rule with when teams can make a QO? I heard somebody say Moustakous can't be QOd next year, is that because KC already did last year? Or because he didn't sign for enough money? Or a 1 year deal? Or because of the mutual option? Or the person's an idiot who doesn't know what they're talking about? I know somebody traded for can't be QOd, but what if somebody signs on the 3rd day of the season, do they avoid the QO that way?
  13. The city of Chicago has proven time and time again what an invaluable draw it is for free agents in the NBA.
  14. The Cubs probably won't be involved in more than a couple of these, though, and it's not like you have to pay for them, so I guess it's fine. fine? No, that awful. If I pay for the season I should get the season. You're still getting the game old man.
  15. That offer for Walker seems unnecessarily greedy by the Royals. Whit Merrifield was a nice boost to my fantasy team, but you can't find a spot for him and Walker when you're likely running out Jon Jay, Soler, Alex Gordon's corpse, and something called Jorge Bonifacio in your OF/DH positions?
  16. Bama just beat the holy hell out of Auburn in the 2nd half(such a shame), I'm not sure I'd swap them in for Baylor quite yet, but one more and I think I would.
  17. The next 12 should be from the group of 39 still in the pool. Arkansas Butler Creighton Missouri Oklahoma Rhode Island Seton Hall TCU Texas A&M are all already in the tourney. So you need 9 more from bukie's "still in discussion" group in addition to St. Bonnie, KSU, and FSU.
  18. Next 12 seeded 4. Tennessee 4. West Virginia 4. Gonzaga 4. Clemson 5. Wichita State 5. Ohio State 5. Kentucky 5. Florida 6. Arizona 6. Texas A&M 6. Houston 6. Creighton Next 12 auto-bids 58. Sun Belt (Louisiana) 57. Bucknell 56. Big Sky (Montana) 55. UNC Greensboro 54. Charleston 53. America East (Vermont) 52. MAC (Buffalo) 51. South Dakota State 50. Murray State 49. CUSA (Old Dominion) 48. Loyola Chicago 47. WAC (New Mexico State) 12 more in Va Tech NC State OK State Arizona State Florida State Kansas State Notre Dame Providence Texas UCLA USC Baylor 20 more out Western KY Maryland Rider UCF Washington Louisville Temple Stanford St. Mary's South Carolina Penn State Oregon New Mexico State Nebraska Mississippi State Georgia Colorado BYU Boise State Boston College
  19. Down goes Boise. They were the 2 seed, but that's a tough loss for a bubble team.
  20. Boise despite some favorable officiating the last couple possessions is down 3 with 7.6 seconds to 7 seed Utah State.
  21. I'll preface this thinking I'd probably put ND in as of now when it's all said and done. But I'm already sick of their record with Colson as a supporting point. They're 14-3 with him, well 11 of those wins were against 150+ teams(including D3 Chaminade in this group) 2 of those 3 losses were to 100+ Ball State and Indiana.
  22. Did I dream the Cubs going to the NLCS last year?
  23. My next 12: (Blech) Arizona Texas A&M Va Tech NC State Creighton Oklahoma State Houston Arkansas Rhode Island Seton Hall Butler Oklahoma
  24. I'm finding very little difference from the 4th through 9th teams in the Big 12.
