What? Seems like it's out of spite, because the "independent" arbitrator ruled against MLB. I'm not saying Braun is innocent or guilty (although he's probably guilty), but this just reeks of spite. I wonder if the Player's Union is going to do anything. "Ok, here's the deal.: You're an "independent" arbitrator, but if you rule against us, we'll fire you." What exactly do you think the Player's Union can do? The arbiters can be fired by either side with or without cause. I understand that. The arbitrator is someone agreed upon by both sides who can be dismissed by either side at any time. My point is that it's just petty and spiteful on MLB's part.
