    Yep, I think it's more likely that SEC champion Georgia gets left out than the 1 loss Bama team they beat in that game.

    Yeah but 1 slip up before the playoffs would have no affect on their playoff status unless its to Georgia in the SEC title game, and even then it has more effect on teams like Michigan/OSU than it does Bama. Alabama has to lose twice to be out. They'll be rated ahead of any other 1-loss team. And probably an undefeated Notre Dame

    It will screw Michigan over that’s for sure so don’t lose Michigan will make it if they win out and won't if they don't.

    I'm really glad that Dave Cameron works for the Padres now so I don't have to roll my eyes at every 'opt-outs only have downside for a team' mention that ignores that's how you get the player on your team in the first place. Just hope Tim doesn't stop by this thread.

    I mean I can squint my way thru those posts and agree that yes, most MLB players and professional athletes are probably bad people. It doesn't mean you need to support those for which their badness is on full display.

    The counterpoint is that Hader saw zero consequences for his past actions coming to light, and Russell’s behavior has more in common with that in terms of deniability than Heimlich legally admitting to committing his crime. The counterpoint is that Russell has been terrible and Hader was an all-star.

    This isn’t the first time Russel and domestic violence were spoken of in the same sentence; They looked into her Instagram allegations 18 months ago. With the current #metoo movement, it would be a PR disaster for the entire organization to turn a blind eye towards this sort of thing. They could "investigate" it, wait it out till it settles down, then promptly do diddly. Hopefully I'm not being too cynical, but isn't that the most likely outcome? He’s definitely done for this season given the timing, I can’t quite picture what would be needed from Russel’s Side to have him in a Cub uniform next year. Different scenario, but that big time prospect with the pedohilia charge just went undrafted and unsigned, this horsefeathers isn’t being tolerated anymore

    That fan rushing the field and getting to the mound when he was out there and then having an oh horsefeathers moment when he realized Howry would beat his ass is still one my favorite all time Cubs moments Yeah, Howry looked like the horsefeathering T-1000, and it was awesome having a couple of dead-eyed psychos like him and Lilly always lurking in the shadows. His legacy got tainted by that last year with the Cubs, but he was baller as horsefeathers those first two years. Howry also gave us the 2.5 Howrys pic that I'm certain you won't remember.

    and his afternoon drive radio card (it actually has been pulled many times and for some reason they keep giving it back) I figured at this point there was no drive of any kind allowed for McNeil.
