Thats putting a lot of stock in Harpers' coach when he was 11. I'm guessing you can back this up though...... I'd trust Harper's teeball coach over most of the people Hendry employed.

Call me crazy for expecting the guy who's had 1 year of competent baseball instruction more likely to improve than the guy who's had 8 years. After all Harper is 2.5 years younger than Castro.

You'd trade Castro and Baez for Harper and add another top prospect? I'd at least think about it, because prospects bust. If you promised Baez + ________ (Soler or Almora) would both come close to their peaks, then no I wouldn't do the trade. However, since they are still in the low minors it isn't out of the question. Harper put up a 5 WAR at 19, he's going to be the best player in baseball or at least one of the two best. I'm higher on peak age Harper than peak age Trout, personally. ETA: Castro+Baez+Almora/Soler for Harper would still be a bad trade for the Cubs, but it's not an immediate no. Why would a bad trade for the Cubs not be an immediate no?

No, they're playing poorly, like they've been doing for the entire tournament. This is the best opponent they've faced so far in the tournament, and they are playing accordingly. Arizona is pretty damn good

Agree, and I have no idea what happened after that Michigan State game. Are we certain Zeller is leaving for the draft? He's going to have to be able to shoot the ball better from mid range to make any impact in the NBA as he's going to be soft around the rim in that league. I think he has to. His stock is just going to continue to drop the more he stays in college. The only prospects that benefit from staying are ones who are great athletes but raw. Zeller's flaws won't really get better by staying. Plus the 6 UK frosh, Andrew Wiggins, and Jabari Parker are all in next years draft. He better go now. He should've left last year.

I heard a rumor that Crean was great at game prep Ha ha, hard to believe after that crapfest, huh? In all honesty, though, I think if you watched the first few possessions again you see some good movement/ideas. It just went to all hell so quickly after that. I wasn't paying full attention early on and was in disbelief when I saw the 10 turnovers in the first 11 minutes stat
