  1. Look guys, nobody transferred from Indiana when they had 2 guys on scholarship so stop being such meanies. Burn Hoosiers Burn. And to clarify, the 19 kids that jumped off the sinking ship that was Indiana dumpster fire basketball when that weirdo took over don't count, but some phantom 4th guy does count for Illinois. ETA: You don't see the connection between paragraph one and paragraph 2? Matt Roth wrote: Coach Crean and the whole coaching staff did a great job of keeping me in the loop, helping me as a person, not just as an athlete. Obviously, the scholarship situation didn't work out in my favor. Prior to the end of the school year and our meetings, they were very positive. They wanted me to keep building my game and train, even if it was on my own. At the same time, they wanted to help me in any way possible, whether that was play somewhere else or play overseas in a certain league here or there. They did make those options available and offered a lot of support. (see http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaab-the ... ncaab.html). And even after Roth's departure, at least as of last year, he was coaching at Crean's camps and appearing at a fundraiser in Fort Wayne with Crean (http://hoosierhoopla.blogspot.com/2012/ ... tn-vs.html).
  2. ok, being Creaned is like asking your safety to prom because you don't want to be a loser and sit home, and then dumping them to go with someone else you think is better. being Groce'd out is like dumping your fiance from an arranged marriage because you want someone of your choosing. it's not hard to understand. "Hey Billy, I know you were recruited to play at this university by another coach, but you should transfer so I can get my own future recruits in." "Hey Johnny, I know you were recruited to play at this university by me, but you should transfer so I can get my own current recruits in." Man, I bet Billy is glad he didn't end up like that sucker Johnny. Billy's coach didn't have his hands down his pants at the time.
  3. At least you guys look likely to keep Harris in the fold.
  4. And two players are already (well, in about an hour and a half, technically) off to the NBA as early-entries (as they always were going to be). It would have been foolish for any coach not to prepare for that inevitability. That means IU is currently over-signed by one (which is the number the Big Ten allows for). Normal transfer attrition rate for Division One programs is, approximately, one. According to you, draftexpress had him as the 21st pick in the 2nd round shortly after you signed your 16th player.
  5. Indiana had 16 guys on scholarship for next year when the season started.
  6. The only guy that left under a scholarship crunch was Capobianco, except for the guy that is now rumored to be leaving due to a scholarship crunch.
  7. Of course, the term started at Wisconsin whjen Creapy was at Marquette. But maybe that's just because BO OWNS CREAN
  8. Creek would not be allowed to use his 5th year assuming nobody else decides they'd fit better elsewhere.
  9. How does Etherington keep surviving?
  10. And then write it off
  11. Zeller goes pro rather than go undrafted in 2 years.
  12. Did that win expectancy take into account the players involved?
  13. One of my favorite things Sveum does is be willing to use his backup catcher to pinch hit.
  14. On the other hand, Michigan isn't coached by weirdo Crean
  15. Yeah, hopefully the AL abandons the experiment soon.
  16. Iowa's running away with the B1G next year, so why bother.
  17. She's an Auburn grad who has held ill feelings for the university for many years, and historically, she has tried to make a living off scandal. Here is a critique of some of her work on the lacrosse scandal (http://newsbusters.org/node/11644). I've become desensitized to accusations, so unless there is some proof or unless Charles Robinson chimes in on this, I'm not putting much thought into it. I'm sure the story is getting many clicks, so I guess job well done for her. Several of the Auburn players she indicates provided information for her are disputing her article and credibility. I'm sure there are some truths to the story (spice use among them, Chizik being a dumbass), but as I've done with the numerous other stories over the past few years, I'll wait and see what happens. Oh man no way. You should be supporting your SEC brethren
  18. Louisville is leaving after next season. And that is quite the dumpster fire of a football conference.
  19. A lot easier to nurse hangovers on Friday and Saturday than it will be on a [expletive] Tuesday.
  20. Hawt. Don't worry the B1G is taking that powerhouse Rutgers program off their hands.
  21. But smarter. So is my dog. #beendeadfor26years
