  1. To get to 19, I've got: Bagwell Biggio Bonds Clemens Glavine Maddux McGwire Palmeiro Piazza Raines Schilling Sosa Thomas (fairly certain you have those) Then I would guess: Martinez Mussina McGriff Kent Smith Walker Is that the right 19? I could see Trammel or Morris too. Trammel in place of Smith
  2. Oh, I didn't vote for Maddux btw. There are 19 guys on the ballot I feel are deserving. I figured Maddux was going in regardless, so he doesn't need my vote. I opted for the 10 guys closest to 75% and closest to 5%.
  3. I think there's a scenario where the Lions aren't eliminated but the Bears-Packers game has guaranteed implications Week 16: Bears lose Lions win Packers win Packers 8-6-1 Lions 8-7 Bears 8-7 Setting up the following scenario: Lions clinch with a win and Packers loss Bears clinch with a win and Lions loss Packers clinch with a win So even if the Lions win, it would be a guaranteed win or go home scenario for the Packers. So would NBC take that over a Cowboys-Eagles game where the winner goes to the playoffs and the loser goes home? It's unclear from that tidbit. I'd think they would go for the NFC East game, but who knows. I agree it's unlikely they chose Bengals-Ravens, but if there's a scenario where Bengals-Ravens can affect the following teams playoff chances in terms of seeding, byes and even making the playoffs: Colts, Patriots, Bengals, Ravens, Dolphins, they might opt for that to draw more viewers in. They'd take the Eagles-Cowboys game because there'd be a chance the Bears would have nothing to play for
  4. Those scenarios both assume Miami wins out ETA which could involve them getting a bye
  5. it was a first down I meant on the pick, not the Rice run
  6. I don't agree with going down there. Detroit has all 3 timeouts, and a TD makes it a 2 possession game
  7. Lions sweatshirt guy is going to be a gif in like 10 seconds
  8. Holy [expletive]
  9. Is it top 2 from each division instead of top 4 overall or something? Top 3 from each division. Division winners get byes. My division sucked. 6-7 team in 2nd, other 4 teams were 5-8. I had highest point total.
  10. I have Charles and was nearly done in by the stupid Dallas kicker putting up 36 for my opponent and Eric Decker and the NO kicker having a crap day. I got bailed out by a big night from Dalton though. On to the semis. I hate that my league goes through week 17. What kind of scoring do you have where a kicker can put up 36??
  11. Always worked for davearm
  12. I'm in the title game with a 5-8 regular season record. Started the season 1-7, made it over a 7-6 team thanks to stupid league setup. I'm trolling him. Hard.
  13. With Baker and Whiteside, I doubt we pick up another minor league catcher
  14. He was mad because Marshall didn't get the TD
  15. Yeah, I think I'd rather give Vitters the opportunity Lake is getting. I'm one of the few that doesn't want Vitters tossed in the dumpster, but this is crazypants
  16. Doesn't seem the type to leave a job he just got started at
  17. Huh, is there a way to have the % align properly?
  18. I'm intrigued to see how the HOF ballot shakes out due to the huge backlog. I know goony doesn't care, but I'd like to see what we wind up with when limited to 10 selections for what many feel are more than 10 eligibles. Poll only allows for 30 options so I dropped the bottom 6 guys according to WAR: Armando Benitez, Sean Casey, Eric Gagne, Jacque Jones, JT Snow, Mike Timlin.
  19. Illinois will take him ETA: Although the image of Mack Brown wolfing down muffins as he takes potshots at Art Briles is tempting.
  20. Chop off his legs
  21. Lebron on the Spurs would be scary
  22. Miami has been an afterthought except for like 1/3 of its existence? Who hasn't been other than the Lakers and Celtics?
  23. With this the Royals will almost certainly have a higher payroll than the Chicago Cubs. I don't think he'll be an everyday guy by the end of the contract, but he should still be able to fake it at several positions that he's not a black hole in their budget. Even after they trade Butler for nothing? Which most down here assume is happening next. Yeah :x
  24. Could always go with the often discussed, never implemented ground ball/fly ball platoon
